Hi, how do I get the achievements “There is no word”, and “Situation escalated”?

For “there is no word” :’
You need to choose Victor Hardy as your servant. In the second scene with him you need to ask him about who killed his daughter and he will tell you that the hunters told him it was Jerry

For “Situation Escalated”
You need to kill Countess Yamina in the final scene and then choose to Scrye. After that then you need to choose to go with the plan of the Ancients

Hello I love the game and I have all the achievement execpt three:

  • This is for Maria
  • your kind of bad at this
  • Surgical precision
    I understand that I need to kill maria an let the vampire live and make Otto Kretscher be my conselor but all the time nothing out of the ordinary happen.
    Can I have some help please ?

For Surgical Precision:
You need to have a really low rating with the Cloud up to the point where you make it out of the warehouse. This will take you to a special scene where Otto and a few others try to overthrow you in a coup. Note that if you are in this scene it means that you will get a bad ending no matter what, but you will have the option of shooting Otto before everyone else in the auditorium lights you up brighter than Brandon Lee. If you shoot Otto and succeed you will get the Surgical Precision achievement, right before everyone in the room hits you with a salvo.
If you have a good relationship with Juarez at this point you can get him to shoot at Otto for you, but I am not sure that will get you the achievement.

For Your Kind of Bad at this
This requires you to have three counselors die
First, you need to choose to be Aznuit
Theresa’s Death: You need to find out that she is the traitor and then have her killed andnot let her escape
Juarez’ Death: You need to use the Ultimate Scrying ability in the warehouse to wreck all the hunters, at which point you will inadvertently end up killing Juarez as well when he wanders in for some reason (this is particularly surreal when he was picked to go attack one of the two bases and shouldn’t be at the warehouse at that time)
Mad Dave’s Death: You have to pick him as a counselor and then make sure the crime rate in the city goes through the roof. With a high enough crime rate after the warehouse battle the game will tell you Mad Dave got killed in an incident of gun violence somewhere (presumably also by wandering in randomly)
With three counselors dead you should get the achievement (although to be fair it isn’t that you are a bad ruler, it is more about those guys randomly wandering about and being at the wrong place at the wrong time)

For This is Maria
Sorry I don’t know how to get this either. I know you have to order Edward’s girlfriend to be killed for him to come and take revenge on you, but I don’t know how to get the achievement

Can anyone please help?

Hi, not an author and a really late reply, but from what I understand

as Merovech was not born as a bloodfounder but rather created artificaly they did not have the needed powers, that would have allowed them to have these powers. Thus, Estefania was manipulated into taking those powers and giving Merovech a puppet what would have the power of bloodfounder while being under their total control and allowing them to hide in shadows.

I like this game, had a good run with it! I did run into one major issue: it seems all my saved games were deleted after restarting the game.

I spent quite a few hours playing this game, but at some point wanted to load one of my earlier saved games. The story kept going and going so to cut things short I restarted the game and quickly got back to the tower load my game again, but all my saves were gone…

Edit: reading some of the posts above there are several issues with the save game system. Saves get corrupted, saves don’t work after game updates / death / game ending.

Suggestion: please remove the save game feature altogether if these problems are due to choicescript limitation – or please fix it if this is not a limitation. This bug makes the end of the game rather anticlimactic; I can’t imagine starting over so I’m now done with this game.

That’s just the way it goes, unfortunately. The reset button does a hard reset on the game data, including the save system. This happens because the save feature is not supported by the company.

Don’t get me wrong, but couldn’t you just have loaded a previous game without resetting the game? Or am I missing something?

Either way, we should add a big WARNING about the reset button to prevent people from inadvertently clicking on it and losing their saves.

A lot of those posts are old. The game was released over a year ago.

That’s the rule for all games done in ChoiceScript. If you update the game, it gets hard reset. That’s why we only send updates in big batches.

This was one of the first bugs we fixed. It was not something we could have predicted because it only happened after the company added some code to the game. We had to spend a lot of time code-hunting to figure out why it was happening.

No can do. The game was designed to have a save feature. We don’t want players to have to restart the whole game after dying once. In fact, a lot of the posts you mentioned were people complaining about just that. Which, as I said, was not meant to happen, and we fixed it as soon as we figured out why it was happening.
