No, Sorry, life got in the way of my fun time again… could be something in my end, probaly cause my phone at the time was made of rock still…
An isekai? Lets go! Alright so i have One question, can the PC confuse the cast of the story on what gender they? Like a male PC being a otoko no ko getting mistaken for a actual girl?
You are goddamn right
Important Update Right Here!!
Hey everyone, how’s it going?
I’m not posting all the updates that happen here because some of them are too small to be interesting to share in the forum. BUT, this one, the 0.1.3e update, is pretty special.
For those who didn’t enjoy the battle gameplay and wished you didn’t have to deal with it, good news: you’re no longer required to play through battles. Well, sort of.
I just added the Auto Battle Mode!
With Auto Battle Mode (which you can toggle on and off whenever you want), the game will handle battles for you automatically, calculating all the numbers, variables, and stats on its own while you sit back and watch.
Of course, if you really don’t want to worry about any of that, it’s advisable to play on Easy difficulty or God Mode, as this guarantees that Auto Battle will always win the fights.
Still, I know some of you are still not satisfied with this option and would prefer me to create battles based on choices, like other Choice of Games. But that’s not the focus of this game. Well, I mean, who knows—maybe in the distant future, I’ll revisit this idea and implement something along those lines, but for now, it’s not in the plans.
You can check the patch notes here.
I’ll be sure to check it out! Thanks!!!
Nothing yet! But this week I’ll be releasing new content in the Early Access with the first day of classes.
I would love to, but it would require a lot of work to write with all the variations we already have. Still, maybe I’ll come back and do it anyways!! (no promises )
Hey just trying to get some clarification is the update with the beginning classes out yet?
It should be later today based off of this patreon post
Damn today nicee
Will we still get choice based battle during battles with important characters outside of Dungeon? The writing in a battle scene can really hype up the battle, I prefer it over enemy has 30 hp, you attack and dealt 10hp. Now enemy attacked back and dealt 20hp, so you heal, rinse and repeat. That would be kind of anti climatic if it plays like a turn based rpg.
It would also be quite cool if there’re legendary monsters in higher level dungeons where you start off as the dungeon battle system and after you chip away a certain % of their hp, it turns into an epic interactive battle with your squad mates.
Thanks for adding the auto battle mode. The dungeon crawling was not my cup of tea. I prefer more of the story side of things and am eagerly waiting for more progress on the world building, characters and how the story progresses.
I was also thinking of something similar, but wanted to wait until the tournament arc is actually finished. Something like: starting a fight by beating a strength check making your enemy start with battle effects such as “Clumsy” or “Confused” could be cool in the story.
But as I said, it’s worth waiting if we’ll even get to the tournament/See what Zcometa has planned. If events are actually possible to code during fights that could be really fun, but I can’t imagine it won’t be a pain to code or write
Yeah. Meanwhile you can read up on what Miso soup and Bento are to pass the time. Like we all do. (Why does that stuff even exist in the game? )
Hey guys does the update end at the dungeon …
HI, I WAS WITHOUT POWER FOR ALMOST 2 DAYS AND I’M RUSHING TO GET EVERYTHING READY!!! Give me a few more hours!!
Cometa without power = Me with zero inspiration
At least he has a very good reason to not be able to write
Don’t worry man, take the time it will need. Can’t help external forces like these.
@ZCometa no worries man you’re good definitely don’t wanna rush you lol
Hey @ZCometa
So currently the early access link doesn’t include the the first day of classes it just goes into the endless of dungeon raid loop still. I tried passing time to and passed through like two weeks and the first day of classes didn’t trigger
Just fixed it! Sorry!
I’m working on today’s Public Update so I can post it here along with the information about the Early Access, to make it simpler! But the EA Update is already out!
A yes I viewed in the tv, the blackout and roof flying my luck is I live in an apartament.
Edit:you okay?
Early Access Update 0.1.4 is out on Patreon right now!
Public Update 0.1.3f is also out!
Well, folks, as promised, version 0.1.4 is already in development, and its first part launched earlier today! Version 0.1.4 is being developed simultaneously with 0.1.3, which is the currently public version. Of course, all changes made in 0.1.3 will also be included in 0.1.4.
While the Public Updates will focus on aspects of Dungeons and battles—essentially gameplay—the Early Access is already introducing the first Story Arc: the Freshman Tournament.
Version 0.1.4 brought over 9,000 new words (excluding code), and while it’s short, it marks significant progress! This update includes the exposition of what the arc can offer and already introduces the first major consequences of your characters’ decisions.
This new portion of the story, being largely expository text to lay the groundwork for what’s to come, is quite linear. However, based on your choices during the Festival, if you befriended Usui and Kawabata, there will be additional exclusive scenes and dialogues featuring them (and some really fun moments, in my opinion).
For those who accepted the “help” from Funai Hiromi, you’ll be met with a significant “consequence” along your path.
Since version 0.1.4 is being divided into different parts and will be updated weekly, Early Access is expected to last around a month.

Oh, right! By the way, I also uploaded the game to the CogDemos website, so now you have more options on where to play! The link is in the main post.
(Unfortunately, Ellen’s images aren’t showing up on this new site either, so the issue is probably that the images are too large. I’ll try to find a way to fix this!)
I’m alright! Nothing I’m not already used to haha
See, battles against generic enemies are and always will be generic because, well, they are generic and not very significant.
However, important battles, such as those against story characters, are exactly that: important. So they cannot be generic. So, the idea I have planned is that important battles will use the same battle system currently in the game but will be much more “cinematic” and feature unique, choice-driven interactions during the fight. After all, they are meant to be exciting and engaging. But I won’t go too deep into it for now!
Even so, I know that people who will play the entire game on Auto Battle will still find it strange to suddenly switch to manual control just to participate in an important battle. I’ll keep thinking about how to adapt this in a way that pleases this audience as well.
While you’re here. Do you mind putting an explanation of how encumbrance works in the game? With an example if possible. (such as, how much strength, con, strength AND con you’d need if you get 9 bonus con from your armor) If it’s already there, I haven’t seen it. Probably could add it to battle effects under encumbrance or gameplay as a mechanic?
Perhaps you could provide examples of how the other stats work in their respective pages as well? The game doesn’t exactly tell you the difference in 10 strength and 16 strength, 10 intelligence and 20 intelligence etc.
I would also ask you to remove the mana cost increase from leveling up fireball, since it’s questionable game design increasing spell costs without giving the player explicit returns. But I believe you have plans behind it? Maybe perks after a magic class or something
Just as I wished for, I remain relatively optimistic.
Except, free mode starts the player with 0 in all stats, which remains a constant problem as you can’t raid dungeons. Requiring you to sleep before doing anything, which is odd? Even the alternative option leads to infinite loading.
