Yes!
Oh, I thought I had already explained this to @teddy1, but it seems I got confused and forgot to explain xD
Big text time!
Yes, the idea is that your physical characteristics can change some outcomes in certain scenes. For example, if you’re short, the option to hide in a very small place might appear—or maybe you’re tall and can reach something you otherwise couldn’t.
There can be downsides too, like if you’re too tall you would be unable to hide in a crowd. I’d like to create several such moments to add a bit of variation for each player.
Of course, making multiple variations would be a lot of work, so I prefer to limit this type of variation to only one per event/chapter…
(spoilers ahead for those who haven’t played the entire demo, I’ll let you know when it’s safe)
The situation in this event/chapter is that if you’re chubby and decide to chase after Akio, he manages to elude you by running through a crowd. Since he’s super thin and short, he has a much easier time getting through than you, who have to push people aside to get through.
Notice, however, that you fail because of your body density and not, like, speed. I’ve decided that whenever a physical characteristic influences an outcome, it can’t be something that conflicts with your stats.
(no more spoilers)
Let’s say, for example, you have a build focused on being fast, swift, and agile—and then fail a scene because your physique “would make you slow”. It doesn’t make sense, right? That’s why I can’t write something like that.
Another example would be if you’re very short but have a build focused on strength. Regardless of whether you should be weaker than normal because of your petite figure, you can still focus your stats and build on strength. So, I wouldn’t be able to write scenes where you fail a strength test because you’re short.
I hope this makes sense.
And, of course, there will be moments when your physical appearance only changes a dialogue or a small event that ultimately doesn’t affect the outcome, but it’s there just to make the text more unique. An example of this is if Usui Usagi bumps into you and you both fall to the ground. Depending on your height, she might end up falling with her breasts on your face (creating a classic cliché anime scene) or perhaps she might fall into your breasts if you have them and are taller than her.
It doesn’t change the outcome, but it’s there to make the text more unique for you.
Yes! The demo ends when the festival begins. If you decided to investigate both the dormitory and the main building, the festival starts and the demo ends.
You decide who you will have a relationship with, being it only one person or more. The only ““exception”” to this is if you join the protagonist’s harem, and, well, share him with the other girls.
