Them: that guy is a nobody he’s easy pickings in the tournament.
Mc bout to hit them with the:
Hey @ZCometa! Can we change our appearances later on? Like it’d be cool if I could start the story as a super skinny stereotypical mage and then suddenly when the day of the tournament arrives I’m this behemoth of a dude with muscles on muscles!
the author has already stated that our appearance can change over time depending on what we do (and yes, if we choose to exercise, the MC will become muscular)
Just wanted to ask something. Can we play as a villain when the story progresses? Lately, I have been having lots of fun playing selfish slimeballs, rather then play the good guy for the hundredth time. Does not have to be outright villainous but someone with self interest and shady morals.
Which leads me to my second question, is the only option to romance characters is to be nice to them? It would not be in character for my mc to be super nice to them. I also understand being a jerk most often then not will not lead to romance irl. But it is a game and I kinda liked the idea of butting heads that sort of lead to sexual tension/romantic feelings.
The author has stated previously that yes you can play as slightly Villain character or outright Villain, the hero and heroine have different moral leaning, they also have their own personality, generally being evil/selfish is fine as long it’s not too much evilry, sometimes being a jerk is fine but not all the time, balanced approach apparently open more option good hero/heroine will dislike MC if MC is too evil vice versa those that tend to be the opposite of good will dislike if MC is too good.
But being outright villain probably only few character of interest that still tolerate MC, being too good and it’s the same result only different spectrum.
Can’t wait to beat everyone in the tournament only to quite when the main character gets a plot armour power up
Is the normal difficulty recommend? I dont want to struggle like a shrimp at the first thing I get to do but Im afraid the easy will be too easy (im just rambling and making no sense)
Normal typically is the recommended difficulty in every game.
But here is how the game describes it "In this game mode, you will need to carefully plan your steps. You are far from being the strongest character in the story, but you certainly have great potential for growth if you play your cards correctly.
The recommended game mode to experience The Ultimate Magic Student."
Alr thanks!
No problem
Will characters have levels too?
And if not, what level would they be at? In theory
Each character probably will have exp, level and stats also skill, character is just like monster we meet in dungeon.
Not sure how they level up is it automatically or player that raise their stats.
There’s not much content yet so I don’t really have any feedback to give, but this seems like it’ll be fun.
My guess is that they’ll have a set lv/stats, with maybe some variations. Like for example, the main story gives the MC a chance to get strength boost but we come in and take it, making them weaker than they should’ve.
For me i just wanted to manage my hype. I don’t know how this game going forward, will it finish will it not, will the game just one book or have sequels. Who knows because of that i manage my hype
Hey I was watching Black Summoner just recently and was like what if we was able to help other group and/or our own get stronger by making the other group think we was evil or weak and than realizing who we really are XD
One thing for sure a lot of mechanic in this game is experimental.
That’s very true I was really testing out the dungeon when we first got the chance to use it and I was struck with the early bugs but glad they are gone now
I was testing out the God Mode and the Normal Mode both are good and I could see where it’s about to get really interesting at
I am sure somewhere author said somewhere about that, yes your MC can appear weak and help people from distance or your MC can be blunt and flashy, your MC could also play evil character or just masquerading as evil then break character later.
But it seems author still focused on the dungeon mechanic bug squashing and glitch hunting, the author do hinting they’re very interested in writing the story than doing boring coding
Thank you I was just thinking about it after watching Black Summoner anime
