That’s the thing tho. Not all powers are meant to be able to take you to the absolute top. You wouldn’t always be able to be the strongest.
But still, Intellect MC isn’t weak, or just another Olivia. Remember, Olivia isn’t actually that smart. A lot of things she creates and calculations she makes are run through Momo. This doesn’t exactly discredit her of anything because without having her degree of intelligence she probably wouldn’t have come this far. But what I’m saying is, she isn’t intellect MC, and doesn’t have their type of innovative mind. The kind of tech you can create isn’t just limited to suits like hers is (If you’re on my blog then you might’ve already seen the talk about the Genewatch you can create with Ha-Eun’s help).
Plus, besides creating things, another key factor of the intellect route is strategizing and planning. As long as you’re always ten steps ahead of the others you wouldn’t even need to use the tech you create so much.
This… this is honestly the hardest part. It’s not too hard, but it is. In the beginning I always thought this didn’t matter because everything I write came from my head, so it shouldn’t be possible for me to lose track or forget about anything. But as time went on I found myself forgetting certain details on certain routes sometimes and then just remembering when I was reading through the route to update it.
However, this isn’t too much of a problem anymore. I’ve spent my time learning to properly catalogue important things to remember in different documents so I can use them for quick reference whenever I want to write. An example is this: (Link) This is how I keep track of the background identifiers I set up so I know the exact background combination someone set for themselves during each playthrough. Besides this, I also always do brief quick read through whenever I’m updating a branch I don’t think I’ve opened for a while.
Currently only Bio-Kinesis and Toon Force are confirmed.
I see. So could you list the powers that would allow MC to reach the top, just out of curiosity.
I mainly asked about Intelligence MC’s strength because of that God that cheat mode MC will eventually have to deal with, and I also saw that super speed MC will also have to survive him somehow. I’m assuming every MC will somehow have to get around him and Intelligence MC just jumped out at me as the one who’d have the most problems dealing with it.
It’s the route that I’m most interested in though, since I like to see the type of stuff that MC will be able to do to overcome the stronger God class characters.
Ahh, that makes sense, I eventually want to make my own game and my big struggle is trying to think of a decent story concept and how to keep track of that said concept throughout the entire game, and here you are with several different routes + more with dlc.
I can’t tell entirely now since I haven’t finished developing all the powers, but: Divine Arsenal, Pocket Dimension, Enhanced Intellect (with gene watch), Density Control, Necromancy, Superhuman. Should all have an established route or the other to get to the top.
Yeah, scarlet witch made me love this ability. But unfortunately, I’m trying to base everything on Sci-fi and stuff so the magic in Chaos magic makes it unlikely to fit in.
The mc make me have second hand embarrassment in this route. It’s nice to be able to beat Adam and rescue Ari but I just don’t like the mc god complex here. Even after we choose our personality again, it doesn’t change much.
I feel like the god complex is kind of warranted… given that they suddenly became a godlike being of course they’re going to have a drastic change in personality for bit
You get this error when trying to open up Logan’s tab on relationships: Relationships line 321: Invalid indent? Expected an #option here, not *page_break
LOVE the concept so far and praying it gets completed and published. I’m really looking forward to the different play throughs based on power levels, and please don’t get rid of god mode, I really want to play through where I can just wreck shop with no limits no stat checks. great work! Can’t wait to read more.
But isn’t the divine arsenal technically magic? I mean you got stuff like the monkey kings staff excalibur and the mater tempestarii who’s entire background is them being a sorcerer who was turned into a staff none of those seem scifi.
Divine Arsenal contrary to what it seems like right now actually isn’t magic. I can’t say what it is for spoiler reasons, and because that’s actually meant to be one of the hurdles you face in the game, but you’ll find out soon enough.
Also, although it’s not magic and I can’t say what it is, I can still confirm it definitely shouldn’t classify as sci-fi either. I guess my wording there didn’t make sense. What I was trying to say is that all powers need to tie back to a concept that has meaning. That is, I need to be able to explain a power and the root of it, rather than just saying magic. Saying this now, I just realized that something like chaos magic can be added, but it’ll be less like what you see Scarlet Witch use and more like Entropy control, which works on the concept of chaos.
