I prefer this to the original so far. Though I didn’t like the original at all, so maybe that doesn’t mean much. Good changes like the king being an actual character and more family drama. We’re also a lot less passive. I wouldn’t mind the entire book 1 being about us walking around kingdoms begging for alliances with the gang, lol.

I wish you’d consider adding quality of life stuff such as showing stat requirements though.

Also odd choice making close combat and swordsmanship different skills. I don’t see the point in it.

[Oh, also forgot. You removed the quiz that was used one time for no reason! That’s an improvement worth mentioning.]

The manipulation skill has been replaced with Liar/Honest stats. If the MC lies frequently, they’ll become more skilled and convincing at it over time. Besides that, the manipulation skill didn’t add much to the gameplay, so I decided to remove it.

The Knowledge stat will be more specialized. For example, if you read a book, you’ll gain knowledge specific to that book, or if you learn a new language, you’ll simply be able to speak it. So, a general knowledge stat was unnecessary.

I’m not sure yet. Probably more than ten chapters!

I’m so glad you guys enjoyed it!!!

Swordsmanship is about fighting with swords, while close combat comes into play when you lose your weapon. There will be moments where you’ll have to rely on your fists

I’m a bit confused lol. Do you mean the quiz where Gerard asks a question during the lecture?

I can tell. Just irks the power fantasy enjoyer in me. I know my 15% close combat will embarrass me :pensive:

Precisely. I hate stuff like that, let my character take tests haha.

Also, good to see you’re alive.

Is it too soon to ask who the poly options are, and whether they’ve changed from the original?

It is much better than the original, but it still has a long way to go. Once I finish the demo I’ll see what I can comment on!

Welp! Loved the now old version, so I can say with guarantee that this will be more awesome-er, is that even a word?

Do you mind still putting up a thing that describes the RO’s? It’s been a while since I played and I don’t remember them all plus you mentioned new ones.

I’m still thinking about this part. I want the poly routes to make sense and not be too chaotic. The main poly routes with Xavier/MC/Jarean and Lena/MC/Clara will stay. I’ll keep you all updated if I add new routes or make changes.

The romance option list is in the main post if that’s what you’re referring to.

Can we have some names that we don’t have to pick ourselves? I’ll admit I’m not great at names.

I’m really liking the new version so far! My only complaint is the new skill system. I really liked that we could be diplomatic or studious, as opposed to being combat focused. But with this version, it’s more of “do you like combat? Too bad!”

Yooooo wtf I literally just finished replaying TSR (V1?) cuz it recently popped up on the dead WIP thread…

AND THIS DROPPED LIKE :exploding_head:

ngl I was bummed out with the original version learning that there wouldn’t be a poly with Lena/MC/Revna, which I understood the reasoning before with Revna not wanting to share if I recall correctly but if there is a possibility in the future that this route becomes available then I will be supper excited, even if the route has very specific requirements to actually have.

As for some errors:

Summary

Also so far I love it, however at the point I am at currently, there is one nitpick that I’m going to point out.

“Gods, yes,” Richard quips, a smirk tugging at his lips. “The mess may be gone, but the scent lingers.”

Fun fact, bird feces doesn’t smell, it’s scentless as surprising as that is, that’s the only nitpick I have so far. Does this need to be changed, no this isn’t a fact that many people know but since i do I thought I could at least point it out.

You had thought the rough hand belonged to Sir Arnold. How mistaken you were.

I did chose the option of guessing if was our father, but still acts as we were wrong, also looking at the code this would show up no matter what we chose, so for some people this would likely need to be fixed

Yes, your fame as the lastborn heir has certainly made its mark," she replies, rolling her eyes. “So, did the meeting conclude well?”

She takes a bite of her apple before speaking again. “Did the meeting conclude well?”

Repeats twice

You reach the hill first, securing your victory. You reach out to stroke your horse’s neck. “I knew you could do it, $horse.”

When I first met Nicholas, I was determined to dislike him then he grew on me like an annoying friend and then I entered his romance so all in all, I enjoyed the rewrite along with seeing more of Queen Isabella development from Richard.

This was always one of my favorite stories and somehow is gotten better. I especially like being able to have more interaction with the King.

I liked the original version, but I love the new one! The world is a lot more fleshed out and I appreciate the little peek we get into other kingdoms. I’m kind of in love with Marania and all their creepy snake statues, ngl :sob:

Daemir is still my man, I love that traumatized little Targaryen variant, but Nicholas has bewitched me. Also, the Queens and their expanded backstory is juicy, omg.

So happy you’re back!! I really commend you because I can’t imagine it’s easy taking a long hiatus, having regrets, and deciding to go forward with a new version of your story when you already submitted your original.

I still enjoyed many of the characters your original Book 1 had, but I’m playing the new demo and already appreciating how more snippets and moments from the MC’s life. Can’t wait to meet some ROs again here (Daemir or my ice queen Lena. :purple_heart:)
