The Sword of Rhivenia (Remake) (DEMO UPDATED 02/10)

He is still a prince even if he is married off to the princess. He doesn’t have much power to hurt the MC. I mean he can’t marry again as condition of the alliance nor does he have much power in Rhivenia. The MC can easily him if he betrays his trust. Though I don’t want to kill him because of his mother. But a king can’t make decisions according to wants or emotions daddy Charles said that so we can quote that if we do have to kill him :joy::joy:
On the other hand Charles was wrong in one major way. He thought of the king as the whole kingdom. I mean if someone wishes to kill him that means the person is against Rhivenia even if that person might have nothing against Rhivenia.

I don’t think he would myself. If trying to make him feel regretful the whole marrying him off hurts that.

Trade benefits really seems broken badly to me. We have nothing to offer but a kid? Makes more sense if we have trade and he just wants a kid. That was not really the way it came off though when discussed within game.

@060_sc He could betray. It isn’t beyond ability to do so. Regardless of alliance. The luxury prince seems mostly interested in MC. He ignores going out with others. Wouldn’t meet the one girl if I didn’t.

I was talking about Richard man not that prince where serpents are the symbol. I don’t think Richard can harm the MC (much) without getting killed himself. Also the luxury prince can ne befriended or so I think. MC will have to befriend him. Also I think prince marrying prince is not very realistic too. I mean like in the first version having a relationship with same sex was kind of not common and secretive if I remember carefully.

S/S is very common from my runs. I only romanced women while playing F!MCs only. Yes, you can send Richard to marry the son.

This book I don’t think the son is interested in anyone but the MC, regardless of what they are. Unless he does not flirt with M!MCs when out on town? Hard to believe the way he flirts around everyone.

Okay. Hold on. Pause. I was reticent to play the demo because the old one holds a special place in my heart but…

“And if more thieves come forth with their sad tales, will you forgive them all?”
“If more people come to see thievery as their only option, perhaps the fault lies not with them but with your rule.”

Total mic drop. Respectfully, take my money. Both versions are well done—flow of this one I actually prefer more. I’m prone to occasionally be a min max player but I was even more invested in the interactions and my MC genuinely reflecting their personality than the current version. Mind you, I’ve only played once… I’m looking forward to the remake!

Also, I noticed this (missing variable?). I noticed another one.
but didn’t capture it. The text had said “$boy”

I just love being cruel to Charles and no one else. Sorry, you get one childhood per kid to try your best, and you wasted all of them.

Yo, the choice to call him pathetic had me giggling. The interactions with Charles were healing my childhood trauma.

I played my MC fairly nice. I can see a man facing his own mortality realizing he was just a dumpster fire of a father. But I’m also a softie in that way I think lol

I want to start with I did like the 1st version, I thought it had a lot of potential but OMG DO I LOVE THIS ONE. It’s fleshes out the world so much more and it makes me want to learn more about the world and I can’t wait for more on this new version

@NutellaQueen

Hey, if it’s not much, can you add an option to go and verify the thief’s story about his little brother,by seeing and talking to the little brother of the thief.
To verify the thief’s story.

I dont remember much from the original, but im loving the remake. Ive even managed to scounge money for the patreon. The remake is goated with the sause, but i still cant make myself be as as*hole, to characters that I vaguely remember like a dream. I do like that there are better moral questions that make it more understandble to be morally grey than just white. Can someone tell me how does a black hat run play like?

I love this remake! I played a nice mc.

My favorite LI so far is Nicholas. He stole my heart; I just love the banter between them…

I love the series and was waiting for the second book, but what happens to the version I already paid for: Btw can’t wait to marry Daemir

I believe that the rewrite will be release as an update of the original game so don’t worry

Ughhh no just no, I don’t think the author will use the title “The Sword of Rhivenia” especially when many people have played the original under that name, that will be confusing so the author might have to look for another name for this remake

This was the author’s answer when I asked in early November:
