So we don’t even get one last moment…one last talk with A…instead of A… M comes to talk with us?? That’s not fair…that’s really not fair…it feels like A’s route was even shorter than R…but atleast in R’s route we get to talk with him and spend sometime before the cliffhanger… On A’s route however…we don’t even get that??
Azur honesty captured me more than R. So his ending hurts more. He has a lot of traits in his character, personality & demeanour that goes with my taste. He really drawed me in. With him you can be bold and shy both.
Also i honesty expected we would get to see his thoughts after the kiss but i was a bit disappointed to see that…we dont get that.
Every interaction with him was already so short & now no last talk before epilogue…thats just wrong considering there won’t be any 2nd book. If we were to get a 2nd book then…i would hv been fully okay with it. But now i just feel that A has the baddest…i mean kinda detached feeling ending considering we dont get to really interact like that before the epilogue and Q has i think the baddest cliffhanger…only becs we aren’t getting a continuation to know what happens…what will be the ending.
We just need a finished book.
Why write such a good book & characters if you are going to just abandon it after everyone waited for so long to read the part 2?

I guess that Its because A have the kiss scene. And for him been the only RO that goes to the mansion with mc he have more scenes too.
And maybe in the moment of the balcony scene he was doing something to help in the mc escape.

He exactly doesnt have more scenes as a RO if you think about it
but i understand what you are saying. Nonetheless it was a bit upsetting becs yk as it ends on a cliffhanger so atleast one last talk would hv served as a goodbye.
I wish she would hv continued writing it… it has so much potential.
I asked if he was single but i chose the non-flirty option. I didn’t flirt so is this a bug?
P.s. It feels like i break my heart everytime i replay the story
. Realising there wont be any continuation.

I just wanted to show you guys the sketchbook I ordered with the game image.
It was before the game was discontinued. And before someone ask yes. I asked permission of Cara and Filopay (the artist) to do it.
I found the sketchbook again while I was cleaning the house and cried a little find it again now but already passed. Im a huge fan of this game.
In the time I was still learning english (in fact im still learning now so sorry for any writing error). I did the first pages with drawings and my favorite phrases from the game.
I guess i dont need to say who is my favorite ro forever. I love everyone from the game (Even The shadow man, god). But Rheylo will always be my favorite ro from my heart.
And everytime i play this balcony scene i feel urge to cry a little.
(Please ignore the awfully draw. It’s been a long time since I abandoned character design and just focused on other types of art.)
The Shadow Society helped me a lot through a very difficult time so will always have a special place in my heart. I just wanted to share this with people who know about this wonderful game and share my love about it.

I´m sad too that this game got cancelled. It is and will always be my favourite. I played the game so many times on steam. My playtime is almost 100 hours XD
And I have made So many bad fanarts about that game.

I loved your sketchbook! I always found the art of TSS pretty and it looks so good printed. Rheylo was my favorite RO on the series as well and even having intentions to try the other routes, I would end up romancing him every time.
It’s sad that it got discontinued, though. It was one of the first IFs I’ve read and it will always have a special place in my heart (I even remember having a mood board for the game on Pinterest back in the day. Good times)

So a staff member here reached out to me because people were “speculating” about the cancellation, even though I made a post confirming it. I should probably have updated the thread name confirming it there as well; sorry for any confusion caused.
I just want to make it clear that I did not discontinue TSS due to lack of support. It’s not anyone else’s fault.I already lost my passion for it mid-way,when writing it because I was rushing things, even though I was trying really hard to convince myself that writing it was still something I wanted to do. I kept going out of guilt for making people wait and for making people read the first one without closure. I was new to writing publicly, (as well as new to the COG site) and had no clue how to manage the interest it sparked. I just felt like I had to finish it. And though I did rewrite certain parts, rewriting an entire book is difficult enough on its own, but rewriting an interactive book with so much branching etc. is…a bit of a nightmare. I didn’t know that until I actually tried to.
I’m really sorry to everyone who’s disappointed. I only have so much free time, and I want to dedicate that to things I actually feel motivated to do. I’d fully support a warning on the first page concerning the discontinuation, but as far as I know it’s not up to me to decide whether to implement that. I’d happily add it as a warning if I get the OK.from a COG staff member so that no one buys it in vain.I’ll ask someone about that.
I’ve not given up on writing, though. I’m having a lot of fun with it when I have time and energy to do it, and I’m doing it at my own pace now. TSS in its current state won’t happen, but I haven’t ruled out the possibility of using the setting sometime in the future (and maybe the characters as well, though they’d be changed in some ways if so). I’m not saying it’ll happen and I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but please know that my decision to discontinue TSS had everything to do with my style and taste in writing shifting, lack of planning and feeling overwhelmed and not with comparisons or lack of support.

Well, wherever the winds take you…just know that even if your book was canceled, it did leave us with a Good impression of your talent as a writer. (Fuck whoever thinks otherwise, they can come argue it with meh.)
And we do wish you all the best in your future writing, and we hope to read something (and play lol) from you

Dear author thank you for giving us TSS . It was one of the best stories I’ve read o. This website and i I’m sure there’ve been many people agree with me .
I first read it when it was first released and was checking the list of the games from time to time .
Today i read it again one last time after i saw the cancelation.
I understand losing simething you put so much of your mind throughout the time you were working on it would feel very agonizing and it is a loss to us fans . But I’m sure you’ve overcome this with your creative mind and are already working on something as ,if not more, interesting.
I wish you success and fat loads of cash in all you write or you do in the future.
