@Fawkes so glad you appreciate my awful sense of humor
Popping in for a quick responseā¦
Itād totally be in canon. The Dharsani Empire has a lot of people who look East Asian in appearance, and a lot of Ophaesians have Dharsani heritage (though itās mostly Northern Dharsani, which is typically dark hair, dark eyes, darker skin).
The entire world of Seven Heirs has a lot of material for other stories ā both traditional and interactive ā and I feel that if/when I revisit this world with a different story, Iād probably take the opportunity to explore the Dharsani Empire more, as thereās so much potential there. (Iād also probably explore House Haelith more, as I really, really like their aesthetic.)
Also, thereās a new sneak peek of the Wiki on my Twitter.
From the prologue:
Life was uncomplicated then. You were equals and friends. They were not Prince Terrisen, Hero of Averithās Pass, and Princess Baelira, wife to your fatherās greatest rival. No, they wouldnāt find themselves thus for many years to come.
And hereās the relevant post:
What are they like?
Which month was the MC born in?
I changed my mind everyone. One look at Angelababy (Chinese actress) dressed like European royalty was enough to convince me once and for all that she, is in fact, the perfect face claim for my princess.
Your princess is so beautiful and gorgeous.
I donāt cast specific people as my MCs, I just Google their appearances and pick someone who more or less fits and edit them. Iām quite happy with the facecasts I made:
Rithanesia
Navirah
Maerith
Siderion
Gaveryth
How cute! Personally, I draw them out because Iām very very picky about faceclaims lol
Like, this sketch, for example, I was going to make Rhymiah but I decided it was Ysonia instead lol. I imagine Rhymiah as softer looking-less angular cheekbones, for example, and dressed a lot less ostentatiously. I might draw her and put her up here! Phylia is Asian (like me!) and I havenāt decided on any other prince/ss lol
ooh now i remember. and thanks!
Fascinating calendar. Will now go and decide the birth months and days for my characters.
Oh! And, considering religion is such a huge part of the culture, Iād assume the royal family are patrons of many many temples and sculptures and whatnot. Does the Triad have like, defined characteristics? Like is Naephenia the āred haired maidenā or whatever? If not, and if itās not blasphemous, Iād love the idea of a sculpture commissioned where the artist thinks weāre like the most beautiful person on the planet (attraction in an aesthetic sense) and models a statue or painting of the god we follow after us. Imagine how mad Eraven would be lol
Priestess: welcome to Naephenias garden, your majesty. We have just commissioned a new square, the stature has just been unveiled
Eraven: lovely I- is that a statue of the princess? The youngest?
Priestess: ah! I understand the confusion. The sculptor upon seeing your daughters face at the opening of the temple declared he had seen she had obviously been touched by her limitless love to have so fair features, a vessel for the beauty the goddess brought into the world, and molded the statue after her likeness to best represent the goddess and honor her blessed ones. A fine resemblance, is it not?
Eraven, through gritted teeth:ā¦very niceā¦
Wooooot, another Southeast Asian girl, high five! And can I just say, I adore all the bling you drew on Ysonia.
My first Ysonia was Fan Bingbing, so I love all the discussion going on right now.
Hell yeah southeast Asians for the win!! The funniest thing is thatās my first draft- you wonāt believe how much bling I have on her now lmaoo. And fan bing bing-certainly could see how sheād be considered the most beautiful in the land! Sheās gorgeous, Iāve never considered her but she fits sooo well
Finished Ysonia!
Drawing under here
No background, cause I hate drawing backgrounds
Sheās certainly gone through a couple iterations of herself! I changed her outfit-I realize she struck me more as āelegantā then āostentatiousā but of course, plenty of jewels-sheās the queen, after all, got to keep up appearances. I changed her dress color to midnight blue, because of the association with her family-I canāt imagine Eravenās too pleased about that lol. But theyāre all about family loyalty soooo. I want to draw Rhymiah Jr too, and then Ysoniaās mom-even though we donāt know how much she looks like Ysonia lmaooo.
Oh man and I completly forgot-for curiosityās sake, what are customs about maturity in Ophaesia? Like, a seven year old leaves the nursery, at 16 they can be wed-implying 16 is the age of maturity, although Atheron waiting till 18 also implies that 16 is like, legal, and technically acceptable, but can raise some eyebrows. Like getting married at 18-you can do it, but people will give the side eye if ur that young. But what tends to happen beyond that? Like, at 16 do women begin to put their hair up in styles, whereas before it was loose or in a simple braid? Do royal kids wear more peals and uncut jewels, and then begin transitioning to more cut jewels/better quality? Or specific cuts of jewels signify maturity, even implicitly. Kids wear cotton and adults silk? Iām just fascinated by this.
Also fascinated-how much does fashion change in court? Do they follow the style of the queen, and how much difference is there between them? If this is encompassing fashion of the entire renaissance there could be significant changes. Like, our siblings mom could have worn a lot of red and bright jewel colors and favored antique cushion and briolette style jewel cuts, and Ysonia could favor deeper colors and oval and princess and pear cuts. Would the courts fashion change to reflect it? If my character (who for the sake of the argument, letās say is a powerful player of the game and has clout) tended toward simple white gowns hemmed with gold and pearls or whatever, would there be a shift toward white and gold and pearls-of course, still done in the usual ostentatious way.
Also, by fixer-that means like, alcohol, and uh, less savory stuff? I was so confused i thought it meant to fix the MC lol.
I believe I finally have all my ducks in a row here, so itās time for that important post Iāve been hinting at for a few days now.
Oh, jeez, I havenāt been so nervous about posting on here since I created the Seven Heirs threadā¦
Iām on Patreon!
(And Ko-Fi!)
Quite a few of you expressed interest in supporting me on Patreon, so I finally got around to creating one! If you donāt know what Patreon is, itās a service that allows fans to support creators via a subscription and gain access to reward tiers. Ko-Fi is a similar service, but itās a one-time donation with no reward tiers.
My Patreon has three tiers: Vassal ($1), Aristocrat ($5), and Sovereign ($10). Each tier has its own set of rewards, and the higher tiers also receive the rewards of the lower tiers (for example, the Sovereign tier gets all the rewards of the Vassal and Aristocrat tiers).
The Vassal tier gets access to all Patron-exclusive posts (which includes more sneak peeks and in-depth progress reports).
The Aristocrat tier Patrons receive all Vassal-tier rewards and get to read short stories set in the world of Seven Heirs that are exclusive to my patrons! They also get to vote in polls about what theyād like to see in the game and what my next short story should be about.
The Sovereign tier gets all previous tier rewards and gains access to an alpha preview version of Seven Heirs! This means theyāre able to play through new scenes long before theyāre released to the public! Additionally, they get early access to Seven Heirs Wiki articles. Patrons of this tier will also be invited to a private thread on this forum where they can discuss the alpha preview version of the game.
My Patrons pay on a per-post basis, which means you only pay when I have content to share. If I donāt create content, you donāt pay! (If it turns out Iām creating a lot of content, Iāll change it to the monthly-payment format so you arenāt paying too frequently.)
More information is available on my actual Patreon page!
You guys obviously donāt have to support me on Patreon or Ko-Fi, but if you decide to do so, you will have my undying love and appreciation.
All game content (scenes and whatnot) will eventually be available to everyone, but some content is exclusive to just my Patrons. The Patron-exclusive content isnāt required to understand or enjoy the game ā itās just bonus content to reward those who decide to support me.
Thank you guys for all your support ā whether you support me on Patreon or Ko-Fi or just play Seven Heirs period! It means so, so much to me that you guys enjoy my work.
Thatās awesome!! Guess Iāll have to make a paetron or Kofi account lol
Iām glad youāre interested!
Also, Iāll be responding to all of you guysā posts soon! I wanted to get the Patreon announcement out of the way first.
These are such exciting news! Iām going to my patreon to suppport you now!
Yes, Iām adding you to my list.
I was wondering if you want to establish a policy for Alpha-build testers revealing information? Like specifically, what are we allowed to talk about and what are we not allowed to do?
