  1. The imagine doesn’t work
  2. “No one makes even a Artemis on your decision” when you decide to finance the boy expedition
  3. speaking of Artemis, I’m pretty sure she has never formely introduced herself, the words in bold just went from Strange women (which is another error btw) to Artemis without her telling us her name
  4. Wasn’t there an image of Rolo somewhere? Is this a bug or did you take it out. If you did may I have the link?

+ The file where it says " Discuss financial detail doesn’t work)

  • I’ ve decided to make the tax as light as possible but the stats say that i’m 55% tyrannical (the same gappen w/ the other two stats: I’ve decided declare the pastor boy mad but the stats say that I’ve more faith
(I hope you understand, I’m a new user so i can’t post more that ine photo or reply more than three time, please overlook any grammar or spelling error)

Oh wow. This game is great! I really enjoyed the demo and can’t wait to play more.
Everything is well thought, writing is very pleasant to read, choices are balanced and there is just the right amount of them. Amazing job! Everything seems quite realistic and you can truly feel like a leader of a fallen land, live through the story. I love the promise of this game. To rebuild a city and take the throne… it is an amazing challenge. This game has great potencial!

For bug report, as eVe above said, there is some weirdness going on with these ‘dual stats’ (I have no idea how they are called officialy). Compassionate/Tyrannical, Honest/Cunning, Faith/Corruption. They seem to be switched somehow, increasing/decreasing in reverse. When I do something compassionate, tyrannical stat increases, when I do something corrupt, faith stat increases etc.
For example, I’ve lowered the taxes, send best doctors to ill people and gave the boy funds for his travel. My stats: Compassionate: 40% Tyrannical: 60%, Honest: 50% Cunning: 50%, Faith: 45% Corruption: 55%
During second gameplay I’ve raised the taxes, killed diseased people and threw that prophet-boy into the dungeon. My stats were: Compassionate: 65% Tyrannical: 35%, Honest: 50% Cunning: 50%, Faith: 60% Corruption: 40%
I think it’s not intentional, but if it is supposed to be this way, I am really sorry for annoying you with this! Wish you best luck with writing this great game!

Pecking order, maggot.

First, I would like to apologize for not logging in for so long or replying when possible. There’s been something leaking in my house making me ill over the past month, that’s been handled. Then COG forums wouldn’t open due to security and non existence pages popping up. I have been able to gleam SOME input on bug fixes thanks to some fans who’ve messaged me outside the forum. Over all that I’ve been busy with other real life issues.

Generally I’ve been trying to dive back into game functions and I have no doubt I can make up for the missed time. So for the second and last time I apologize for the weeks you went worrying what has happened to your people while you’ve been left in a coma in the care of your advisers. Now to reply…

@Harley_Robin_Evans Glad to hear it, appreciate the patronage
@eVe
(1) Depends on what browser you’re using I’m assuming some browsers and some security stops the images from working (like me firefox) other times it works (like at times on chrome). Sadly other then remove it, not much I can do at the moment.
(2) Fixed.
(3) Fixed.
(4) There was, but I decided to take it out so the player can further use their imagination on how he would look.
(5) Father thing has been fixed.
(6) The opposite stat thing was due to me upgrading how the stats page look. Error should be fixed. If it occurs again I know what to do to fix it. (Won’t be fun though…)
@Kardney Thank you very much, that is very encouraging and great to hear. Yesh, that bug is something I’ve looked over repeatedly in hopes I’ve crushed it.
@Mr_Popo Well. No clue how to respond to that one

Thank you everyone for holding in there till now. Just two more things.

First: For better impact and more constructive and continuous support, crit, and input system for in game progress, I may be switching to private alpha testing off the thread. Though if this happens I’ll most likely still update the thread, but they’ll be a week after alpha testers test. I’ll let you guys know if this is what’ll happen.
Second: With all that’s going on, I’m looking for what you guys think is going to happen next, what are you looking forward to seeing? What are you expecting to do or find?

If you do do the testing I want to be apart of it because you have a great game that is worth playing.

Thank you adam, though for efficiency sake, there’ll be quite the criterias to test. That and each tester will be testing separately. Efficient ^-^ As an early notice. Some of said criterias is quite basic. Being active on the forum chief among them. No good if my testers vanish on me.

Still, I won’t have myself organized for anything for another week. It’ll be just about Halloween wouldn’t it? I think I’ll write a Halloween scene next… or something similar.

Does this world have any magic, or supernatural aspects to it? This is the same world as the assassin one, right? Yes, a Halloween one would be cool, but have it as more of a respect the dead, or protect from evil spirits kind of thing.

Halloween…

Everyone’s taxes are going to be candy and brownies.

@NoGo Complicated way to answer that. To keep it simple this is the original assassins world, yes. I have plans for a more supernatural aspect in the game just to spice things up and not limit myself. That being said, magic exists, but in rarity. The MC can’t go out into the battlefield and call down balls of fire I’m afraid. However they can do more magic induced things under the cover of night on smaller scales.

@Dark_Stalker Best… Halloween… ever.

How about this for a Halloween event…

Former Acolyte Veon Le Nivalye of the divine order consumed by hatred for your forefathers soon became engulfed in the darkness as he practiced the dark arts. He learned to raise the dead and began his death march upon this city. This is hundreds of years ago mind you. Divine Nassria of the divine order called for The Divine March, leading her army upon the city to destroy the new necromancer. When at last things came to an end the necromancer, now immortal crafted a deal.

On the last day of the month of Hollow, the people shall pay their taxes in delicacies and the dead shall receive the crowns instead, lest they rise up and seek vengeance once more. Thirty five years after one of your forefathers, in hopes of aiding the coffers, ordered anything involving that day be completely destroyed. This was done, however the tradition continues to this day.

Course, there’s a way to skip the entire event, but what’s the fun in that? And for the sake of interest, this specific tale only takes place within the city. The above story will be revised before being put into the game. What are your thoughts?

…A necromance with a sweet tooth…

This means war… only my trusted officers can eat sweets in front of the peasants! (Followed by 24 hours of training, I can’t have fat officers. )

Wait, do we get the treats, or does the necromancer?

@Dark_Stalker I couldn’t agree more. (Those officers are going to be prepared for next year. Though they probably won’t live that long)

@NoGo The necromancer. Sent straight to the cemetery. A lovely twist on things. Though if you succeed in your endeavors against this cultist tradition, you’ll very much get the chance to lounge about and devour candy.

Hmmm…
Fight armies of the undead.
Or give up candy.
Can we give him peasants instead of my candy?

gasps how dare you give up peasants like that… Can’t we just send them to battle the undead?

Giving him the peasants would be easier.
I’m not risking my kingdom by thinking I can beat that necromancer.
Unless I fight back with some sneaky black magic.
(Maybe I should also make plans to deal with inquisitors.)

Yes, that’s a fair point but, it would be something to watch while you eat your candy.

You also make a good point.
A battle watching peasants and zombies die.
That will be nice to eat candy with.

o.o

Sacrifice peasants to save the candy? I can’t believe what I’m hearing. There’s hope for humanity yet :joy:

So let’s see here. The coming day is presented to you by an adviser who then wants to know what you do about it. Assuming you want your people to pay their tax so you can actually survive the coming weeks, you prepare to face the superstitious nonsense of a necromancer (which turns out to be true)

So the dead are rising up and headed towards your city. Clearly coming from The Forgotten Crypt (my talent for naming things live on :stuck_out_tongue: )

How will you deal with it? Send the peasants. Wait… just thought about that… @faewkless where’s your army while all this is happening?

one fifth are taking some money and candy from the peasants.
As per my orders.
And giving me a cut of it while maintaining order.
(about 60-70 percent cut)
A tenth are being re-trained and “educated” by whisper to be effective spies and deadly assassins.
The rest are being trained by my lieutenant in not being corrupt and useless.
(once the ones who are extorting are finished I’m going to take some of them and shift the blame of taking money onto them and have them executed)
I think it will make me look good to execute some corrupt officials.
I will also have whisper make sure no one tells anyone about it.
I’ll give her free reign to decide how.
