NOTICE:
The Halloween scene is still being worked on. Part 1 of 5 is completed. It’s a chapter in its own rights I fear. One your neighboring nobles will laugh at if you told them the tale afterwards and question your sanity. So to say, the Halloween scene is being kept under lock and key.
I’ll try to stick to my update schedule. ~ Week 1 - Work on LoT (Legacy of Thrones), Week 2 - Break/Other games, Back to LoT ~ An alternating. Although some point in the next two week might be the time I take things to private alpha testing.
On a side note, I’m well aware that the images are no longer working and there is a good reason for that I’m sure… bug wise. I’ll make that one of my priorities in the coming weeks.
And… that wraps it all up. I look forward to your positive criticism and feedback on the update.
I played a part (to Prologue IV) of “Legacy of the Throne” and enjoyed it. The characters are well built, the setting is excellently described, and the essential details are pointedly driven home. If you’re interested in more of my thoughts (rambles), read on. Alas, I didn’t know you already had so much content and don’t have enough time to finish tonight. Also, as my rambles exceed 1,000 words I took the liberty of putting it into a Google Doc you can find by clicking here.
How to respond. Well first, I gotta say, I do very much appreciate the support and input. That review of yours has made my night and sliced straight through a weeks worth of stress. Valid points were made both ones that made me laugh and others a few nods and a smile. Course, making some of those suggestions reality.
That was fun to read, I do hope you continue to this just as much. Sadly even I can’t find the time to play through all the routes of the game. (Listening to the games announcements on prologue and chapter divisions can be deceiving. Who knew there were so many pages?)
It’s nice to see the routes that players take and the thoughts running through their minds before and after they make it. I’ll keep my reply short before I turn it into a google docs file of my own. I look forward to seeing your future notes in the meantime I bid you ado. (Btw, on the democrat point, did you know you depending on who you ask for advice first the responses change?)
I figured as much, as the second response was a lot shorter. That’s a clever thing to implement, though.
It probably affected my consultants view of me as well.
Happy to help
Just keep going on this amazing story; I’ll catch up sooner or later.
(Who knew one man could have so much homework)?
Edit: There were actually more pages. I combined the page numbers on the pages that reoccurred.
“I’m sure you’ve been keeping an eye on him in court.
” Pffft that made me giggle more than I’d like to admit
But anyway here are some of the bugs that I’ve found:
I hope I’m not bothering you
Ah and one last thing, is the game supposed to end when Rolo tell you to “stand, hold and leave”? Or am I missing something?
@eVe Haha I would hope that would be your reaction
, and no you’re not bothering me, saving the game is more like it. I really appreciate the screenshots and the error points!
And I deeply apologize for the late response, was busy and then fixing the errors, and loading/posting errors.
As for the “stand, hold, and leave” that… shouldn’t be in the game. More of a referencing for incoming scene. Can you describe the scene in where this happened?
Ahhh please don’t apology, you must be so busy,
You have no idea how relieved I am knowing that I’m not bothering you by sending so many messages!!
But anyway, regarding the “stand, hold than leave” scene, I’m sure those weren’t his exact words but that happened when Rolo told me to leave the council (?) room after I’ve finished giving my orders (? Does this make sense? I could send a screenshot if you prefer)
Explanation is probably preferably, wouldn’t want to have spoilers up
I have a feeling the game ended a bit later then it was suppose to. Actually I’m sure of it. The ending shouldn’t even have Rolo in the scene
And ah just as you posted I solved the image problem in the game. You do bring good luck
As for the many messages, I do recommend however, if possible (and not reaching the max characters) to attempt editing/putting messages in one post. If that helps ease your mind and doesn’t blockade things.
As for the Rolo, let me know what you think of Sebastian.
@eVe I’ve found it at last. Those were actually Rolo’s exact words… I hope you aren’t archiving everything he says
The game was not meant to end there, I’ll get rid of that and move the chapter end down some. Thanks for the note.
NOTICE: Actual game update will be up a few minutes after this message has been posted. Let’s roll out those new chapters shall we.
I hope you aren’t archiving everything he says
Jesus Christ please stop that
Oh and sorry for the late response btw, and thank you for the advice, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind
As for the “rise, hold then leave” scene, I still can’t get past that. Am i doing something wrong?
This happen when i click “next chapter”
Some others bugs are:
The “Bones of Sonders” image also doesn’t work
And finally regarding “Sebastian”, do you mean you’re planning on changing Rolo’s name?
@eVe Haha alright alright, I’m done… for now
The game should end after Prologue V: Guardian of the throne. With the MC going to sleep, if you survived the night of course.
The women/woman typo(s) has been fixed.
Only the siege image should be working a the very beginning. I still need to hunt down all the other images, it’s quite a lot of work and looks like such a mess it halts the game when I attempt to quicktest it, I might just pull them out altogether.
Change Rolo’s name? I could never (again) attempt such a thing to my chewy adviser, no Sebastian is another character you are soon to meet. If you play through the demo, live, and don’t meet him, there’s a problem.
Edit: Correction, having technical difficulties. Strange ones at that… I suppose that update will have to wait till I can get it fixed.
Edit: Problem solved. Game updated.
Oh…oh my I see we have many up and coming tyrants. A dash of Sadam Hussein, a sprinkle of Kim Jung Un, and is that a pinch of Hitler in there? The royal legacy does not look like it will be a good legacy for the rest of the land Arc. Lol I think I may be the only one not bent on making my people hate me. I mean military state of course along with conquest but just a little conquest. Nothing much.
I fear you may be right. Imortallia is on a path for destruction and bloodshed. Though, how can you refrain from an execution via beheading here and there?
I will do my best to make this dream come true.
When i conquer a city can i let my soldiers to release their anger on the population? Only for a time of course! There must be discipline in my army. Some free murdering and pillaging should rise the morale.
Oh I’m not against a little tough love every now and again to show that I’m the one to make the hard decisions. Even Eddard Stark had to kill someone via beheading and he was a kind and just ruler. There’s a fine line between managing your kingdom and burning it to the ground whilst also hanging yourself from a rope of your own wrongdoing.
@TheCorrupted I… don’t believe that’s how discipline works, but hey, they don’t my word for it, who am I to question a noble?
Though that wouldn’t be such a bad idea. I mean it is a bad idea, but it wouldn’t be so bad. The coffers will fill and more respect and fear will come to you. Though I doubt the benefits will overshadow the coming darkness. Your deed swill haunt yo my good sir.
@Razgriz nods Though, the leader we envision ourselves to be doesn’t usually equal the leader that your people see.
Hangings are weak…
You should take some inspiration from Vlad like sewing turbans on people’s heads.
