Happy 4th of July!
I have to ask, there’s been some decisions based around what wing of the party you want to support in this game, Liberal, Moderate, or Conservative, will that be involved in a story, because I feel like that should be a bigger factor in your reelection campaign, midterms, and a potential primary challenge.

Hey folks, I know I mentioned that I was traveling out of state to deal with some personal things – unfortunately, my flight has been impacted due to the global tech outages and am unable to get back home for a few days longer! I have been able to make a bit of progress, though, and wanted to share it with you all.
The Updates
I’m still fully planning on sticking with my original plan of a full public beta test open around September with a publishing date around November 5th (if this ends up being not possible, I am open to pushing it to the date of the inauguration on January 20th).
I am planning on writing a quite detailed (near state-by-state) results scene for election night which I know will take quite a bit of time given the large number of different results that are possible. If I do not have all of those written, I may open the beta test with a less suspenseful election night so there’s more time for beta testing.
For Patrons: As I mentioned, there will be a public beta test open to everyone starting likely around September – as the main perk of my Patreon is early access to updates, I will have very little additional content to offer. I am looking to give you all an early version of the demo (hopefully around mid-August), but once September comes it will become public for everyone.
I will still keep my Patreon open for those of you who still wish to support me and my writing, but I wanted to be fully transparent about this up-front!

Im very prepared to win all the states in the Election
I know this game isn’t focused on romance, but I would like to say that when I followed the love marriage path I was positively surprised
My wife not only shows that she cares about me several times, but she goes to another state just to be with the MC, she basically gives up her career for the MC’s career and even with all these sacrifices she never uses it against the MC, and That’s why I can say that the mere idea of betraying her makes me feel like a monster (and I haven’t even told you everything she sacrifices for the MC).
Man if only people like you were running America…
I am quite confused. For vetoing the opioid act, shouldn’t the approval rating drastically decrease. There is no change to the approval rating regardless of the veto.
Thank you so much for letting me know – this veto should decrease your approval rating so this must be a bug. I’ll look into it!
After a moment of silence Birchland speaks, “The bottom line is that the Democratic Party is against government handouts for people who aren’t at work. Unemployment checks discourage people from getting back to work, which is why our proposal is the most pragmatic, sir.”
This seems more Republican mindset, as they tend to be against this kind of spending.
“The good people of Saudi Arabia will stand for your imperialist ways. We want all American forces out of Saudi Arabia immediately.”
Pretty minor, but obviously “will not stand.”
@RFKramer , question would their be any special in game comments if the MC wins or loses All Electoral Votes or even the election gets deadlocked and would there be more comments about it in the second book
I think this was a variable issue which will be fixed for the next update, appreciate you bringing it to my attention!
Also a good catch – thanks!
There isn’t an outcome where the MC can win every state, but there definitely will be special scenes and outcomes in book two depending on the size of your character’s win. The biggest impact will definitely be on Congress: a landslide for your character will also help out your party down-ballot, meaning you’ll have much more power in setting the budget (the main focus of Book 2’s start) than if you only win by a small margin. Obviously, if the MC loses the election, it’ll just be a game over.
“Go easy on Lilah, please. I don’t know all the details but I know she’s a loyal one and a hard worker. You know how many hours she put into the campaign.”
“Just keep it in mind,” Elise adds after a moment of silence, “I know you’re going to get pulled in a million different directions by your staff but go easy on her if you can.”
There was a knock at the door, “Mr. President your needed in the Oval.”
Should be “you’re”, only included the other stuff so you’d know where it was.
Oh alright then uh how many states can the MC win at maximum?
Not sure off the top of my head but around 40 or so. Republicans can win a slightly higher state count and Democrats can win a slightly higher electoral vote count just because of how the electoral college works.
The current demo ends right after the midterms, right?
On another note, it seems that electoral success is based on corruption in this game, with the more corruption one has engaged in, the greater the electoral successes.
However, shouldn’t corruption or even the perception of corruption decrease popular support?
That’s an optimistic view of how things are. Not an accurate view, but still.
I think this is correct but expect a big update soon. If I keep to my schedule (which I am on-track to do!), you’ll have access to the full story for public beta testing in about two weeks!
This is a pretty accurate reading of the way the story is written, corruption in a lot of decisions does yield your character benefits, but not completely without punishment later on. It should still be fully possible to get “good” outcomes without going down that route, though.

Hey all! I’ve been making some really great progress over these past two weeks and am eager to bring you all up to speed! TLDR: I am still on track to meet my self-imposed deadlines!
The Updates
FOR PATRONS: You now have access to an updated private demo, it is pinned and should be the first post on my Patreon! (I’ve also linked it at the end of this post below). As I mentioned I have not finished writing Chapter 5! As such, the current state of the Patreon demo will end (in most cases) with a code detailing the result of the election. This code will either be GOP/DEM (depending on your character’s party) and then a number ranging from 1-10. For your own awareness, a 10 is a total landslide and a 1 is a total landslide for your opponent.
While I understand this may be a little immersion-breaking at the end of the chapter, I decided using these temporary placeholders would be the best solution to giving you access to as much content as possible while I’m still in the writing process. I also imagine this might take some re-balancing so please let me know your candid thoughts about your result if you’d like. Your thoughts on whether the campaign was too easy, too difficult, or just right will be hugely helpful to me as I re-balance the chapter!
For everyone else, the full public beta is still on track to go live in early September!
