The People's House (WIP: FULL PUBLIC BETA) (UPDATED: 10/2/24) - Presidential Sim

That’s the trade-off, all big choices have consequences and no matter what you do, somebody is going to get screwed over, in this case, it’s those Civies who were in the wrong place at the wrong time

Mini status update – doing some hiking this weekend so I will likely not get out the regular weekly update to the demo tomorrow. Aiming for the middle of the week, though there should only be small tweaks and fixes.

For Patrons – I think I’ll be giving you all a sneak peek at some of the artwork as it’s getting made. I’ve just got some sketches and think that sharing them with you a little early would be a nice piece of bonus content.

In all, expect my regular update post sometime in the middle of this week! I’m hoping to have all the artwork done and the story submitted in around two weeks (mid-October). Thanks again for all your messages and pieces of feedback!

Bro why my approval rating not go higher in voting

And why supporting palestine approval tanked ? Shouldn’t it be arise since the people of the USA support Palestine???

Habe to complain, tho it is more of the websites fault I guess, but I finished the demo that at the time only went to the Impeachment Trial, came back and we finally get the reelection campaign, but the webiste screwed me over, I went from the highest approval you could have, and good overall income, to nothing, and stood no chance at the reelection because of the game messing up saves when the game is updated

Anytime a new update comes out, you really need to start all the way from the beginning again because that stuff always just happens when new variables are added and changed drastically throughout

After multiple tries I finally got the landslide reelection ending with only one deal with bill on the fundraising. To be honest there should be an epilogue for reelection with the ending the player will take an oath for the second time

Can you tell how you were able to achieve it? Your decisions during your campaign and your approval rating, and also which party your president is from.

I tried to achieve a landslide without interfering in the opposition primary and let hoffman win but I was only able to get 366 votes as a Republican and 58 seats in the senate flipping Virginia and Oregon over.

I definitely think there should be an epilogue with the reelection or call it teaser for the sequel if you have to.

I have 64% charisma and yet my children of less than 8 years don’t believe my reassurance.

That’s because it’s not charisma that it checks, it’s your relationship with them. High Relationship, you successfully reassure them, low relationship, you don’t.

Charisma works in situations wherein you have to convince strangers, neutrals/adversaries, or crowds of your position (or your veracity), or argue a point. Examples include the King of Saudi Arabia, David Berkowitz, Bill Cassidy, the crowd in NH.

Also, the PC is not a civil servant, but a civil rights lawyer, in that background that you are referring to. As a lawyer must argue cases in courts, a lawyer background PC has the highest charisma of all backgrounds.

Oh ok, btw, in which situations does charisma applies? And why being a field strategist gives less charisma than being a civil servant?

Jacob Warner is said to have won 2 “Grammy’s” for his show, but Grammys are for music. He, more accurately, should have won two Emmys, which are television awards.

Could you be more specific with this?

Polling suggests the alternative, even though sympathies for Palestine have increased recently. Younger, more progressive Americans tend to be more supportive of Palestine (not necessarily Hamas), though most other demographics are still fairly behind Israel. TPH also diverges from reality in around 2020/2021 or so, a time when support for Israel was pretty notably stronger than it is today.

I do think for consistency I’ll do my best to create a very brief epilogue for if your character wins re-election. It won’t be as extensive as the other endings but something short should help to make it feel more complete.

There are no plans for continuing my presidency after re-elections?

Wait how come Kathy is the 53rd of Vice President when the PC is the 50th President of the United States ?

Thank you

Then next question is will the next sequel will be war with russia if push too aggresive for St Petersburg ? and how can the PC win Re Election in a landslide ?

oh and why there is no preliminary election like Hoffman does ? or is there no need to do it because the PC already the present President of the USA ?

Meaning I should spent my 50 Million USD to interfere with Democrats ?

Some Presidents did change VPs throughout their terms.

You got it right; an incumbent president in their first term generally runs again. However, PC can be challenged by another member of their party in certain circumstances (which I assume you haven’t seen).

It requires you to face a favorable opponent in the general election.

Yes.

Apologies if this has been asked in the thread, but this seems to be a near future AU. Is there a year this theoretically takes place in? I think I saw 2044 said at some point but just curious!
Also, is Reynolds (I think that is Hoffman’s predecessor) the same party as Hoffman or the MC? Sorry, got these lore questions!

Reynolds is canonically republican, I’m pretty sure, and the game takes place starting in 2041
