Hi there! I’ve begun work on my first game The Noble’s Son. In it, you play a young noble who’s torn between joining a rebellion, or defending the kingdom you grew up with. there is a stats screen, an inventory system and branching choices. Thank you in advance for anybody who checks this out, I would love some feedback
Currently it’s early in development, with a completed prologue and first chapter. I plan on making it about 400,000 words total by the end.
Thank you so much for the advice! I’ll be honest, I’m a first time writer and have no idea what Cogdemos is, but I’ll gladly check it out! And as for the summary that does make sense! I really appreciate the feedback, thank you for taking the time to write this
Thank you for telling me that! I’ve been testing it on different devices and haven’t come across that issue so I’m hoping it isn’t like that for most people. And as for Cogdemos, I’ve never heard of it until a few minutes ago but I’ll definitely be looking into it! Thanks for taking the time to reply to this
I play on my Samsung tablet and most of the the itch.io website gives me these problems. Sometimes the author knows how to make it work or they just use the cogdemos website. I don’t know how to help but the others are far more knowledgeable than I. When I turn my tablet sideways I get the screen above, not full screen but far better than before
Thanks for taking the time to reply! I can’t speak too much of it yet but some of those elements will definitely be part of the story Thanks again for reading!
Thank you for the information! It’s good to know that itch works better on some devices than other ones. I actually just put the game on CoGdemos as well, several other people also recommended it I’ll see if I can find a work around for itch as well though as the full screen option is already turned on. thanks again for the help!
I really really like the story so far! The ending of chapter 1 left me GAGGED. Like I didn’t expect that at all…
The only feedback I have is try to split up the paragraphs more often. Don’t get me wrong, I love your writing, but the long paragraphs are a little hard to read sometimes.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words, and the criticism too! You’re actually not the first person to tell me the paragraphs are a bit lengthy, and I’m already working on that in the next chapter!
I’m really happy you enjoyed the ending of the chapter too, that’s the part I’m proudest of so far. Thanks again for reading I can’t wait to get chapter Two out
Yeah it’s definitely an ambitious first project but it’s something I’ve been planning for a while so I feel ready. And thank you for the feedback! I’ve never had to make an intro post before either so it makes sense I missed some things
