The Myrmidon (WIP) (Minor update 03/10/2017)

All the better if it turns out he isn’t, as that solves the whole Royal heir DNA thing problem that had @P_Tigras so concerned a while back without the mc having to tangle with that Forge again.
On the other hand my inference could explain how he gets the energy to live what are essentially two very busy lives.

So not only is it delightfully kinky it actually raises the Prince’s stature and presumably would make mr. Gray a Duke in his own right too, right?

Ha poor Lady Calinas, she had the solution to her Royal problem right under her nose all this time without even realising it!. :smiling_imp:
But I guess that is because most of the nobles seriously underestimate servants and commoners, no matter how pretty they may be.

I never explicitly said I wasn’t a Dot-Tech infused Demon Lord either, and you should be a damn sight more worried about that possibility.

Gray being the Royal Consort would likely be a tremendous blow to the Throne’s prestige if he were the sole one. Blue Bloods like to be in the company of other Blue Bloods, so he would be a bit too hayseed for their tastes. Being bundled with the presumptive heir to the Calinas fortune however would change that appraisal for the better.

See, if you were a Dot-Tech infused Demon Lord, I’m pretty sure I’m screwed whether or not I’m worrying. So… I’d rather not even think about chaining myself to that particular nightmare, thanks.

Buy one newly adopted noble stud, get one ice cold butler free?

Yeah, but Lady Calinas simply adopts who everyone presumes is Flash, a former rebel and a commoner with little more than a few words, might she not have theoretically done the same with Gray?
Of course it is established in the game that Calinas knows full well what her “son” is, but to the world he’s still just an amnesiac Flash with a fancy new name and title.

Ha! That’s certainly one way to put it.

“Hey buddy, you out there? I’ll be up there in a minute…”

This is the weirdest Deli I’ve ever been to…

Very true, but Gray is perhaps a little older than Flash, and possesses several qualities that make him a less than ideal pawn. Lady Calinas knows that Gray is too smart to be controlled once given a position of power, whereas she can mould the MC into someone who believes they are dependant on her.

Also, Flash’s narrative has more appeal to the Nobles. A selfless Noblewoman opening her home to a mysterious orphan, that really appeals to their own internal narratives and therefore they will more willingly accept it.

But Flash is apparently this season’s hottest new toy. And he can do tricks - fancier ones now that he’s taken a spin in Lady Calinas’ magic machine!

“Shiny, flexible street rat” is easier to clean up and make palatable to the nobles (especially since there’s always the romance of "perhaps he is of noble blood?) than a (presumably?) long since established servant.

Besides, what are these folk if not charitable? And what’s more charitable than giving someone whose choices in life were limited and lacked lustre… a whole new lease on life?

Okay that makes sense, as that means that he’s also a bit older than the prince as that is apparently another reason why the real Flash was selected, being an age mate of the royal children.
Little does she know however exactly what she’s brought into her world with my Thinker droid Flash. Hmm…that gives me another idea, if it turns out the mr. Gray is both a myrmidon and another Thinker we could perhaps learn to surreptitiously communicate through the Upper Brain?

Yes, that is how they would choose to see it.

Well Gray is plenty hot and if he is a myrmidon that means he can also do some of those tricks, likely even more of them than Flash, being older and more experienced (great now my mind is in the gutter again). Though presumably he saves them for his Chevalier persona.

Flash (droid) does clean up rather nicely does he? Although that naked fight in the beginning does mean most of them have already seen everything there is to see about him.

I didn’t mean to imply anything like that, and I’m sorry if this offended you or anyone else.

It’s okay, like I said I didn’t think it was on purpose.

ah, but observing and experiencing a thing are two very different animals.

T’was but a taste! A sample, if you will, of…

…anyway…

I’m sure that the audience was more worried about not getting their faces caved in at that particular moment, if you’re referring to the three-way fight for Lord Flash’s honor. But I’m not a noble, so what do I know? Maybe they’d risk it.

Yeah… But…

There’s a reason people line up overnight to get the latest generation of iPhone, and it’s not necessarily because it has faster processing power or anything. New is fashionable, at least until retro’s back in style…

I wonder, too, if nobles hadn’t tried to… Er… court Flash into adopting them as parents. Or, y’know, in the biblical sense. So… Flash is a collector’s item as far as these noble nerds are concerned.

(why did the Lady have to open the box?! He was cherry! CHERRY!)

Hmm, sounds like there’s an untapped market here. We should keep stuffing kidnapped children into the forge to create shiny new robot children for the nobles to bid on! :imp:

It’d be like The Stepford Wives meets Village of the Damned set at ComiCon… In the 18th Century…

You forgot the possibility of a (kinky) polyamorous relationship with both of them at the same time.

You do know that you’ve just confirmed mr. Gray to be a myrmidon right, no way a human male could wear trousers that tight and remain, well, healthy. :grinning:

…I’m imagining David Bowie in Labyrinth as Mr Gray now 'cause of this, thanks.

No way, mr. Gray has way better hair and even though Bowie was sexy mr. Gray is much much sexier still.

Hmm…maybe they (accidentally) team up for a spot of highway robbery on some nobles.
With Rebel Flash being with the ambushers obviously and perhaps noble Flash and/or the Prince could even be among the victims.
Afterwards the Rebels could take the physical loot, money, weapons, jewelry clothes etc, while the Chevalier merely takes some documents and perhaps a fine young gentleman, or two.
Just a thought, but it is potentially usable on both the noble and rebel paths, with slight differences.

Somehow in reading the latest exploits of the Myrmiforum all I could think is:

How weird would it be if someone invented a time machine that could go to different time lines and a Noble MC in this weird Fifty Shades triangle/square/polymorphic figure met a Rebel MC who was a part of this Chevalier v Burned Man fight and a Nobel Thinker MC who studied pre-Fall poetry and thought that Fifty Shades of Grey was pre-Fall poetry, with a myrmidon Mr. Grey, all met up in one timeline.

Oh that and we’re all doomed if @Moreau really is a dot-tech demon lord.

I think the Thinker droid would know the book to be really badly written romantic prose. Mine would just find it funny to declaim (parts of) it as if it were (still rather bad, yet funny) pre-fall poetry cause it would be frigging hilarious and prove that you can get away saying nearly anything so long as you can convincingly pretend it’s pre-fall poetry.

All thanks to your Thinker MC- Fifty Shades of Grey becomes the most famous book. Everyone believes it’s what today’s Shakespeare is.

impossibly tight trousers[/quote]

Though, I’d imagine there would be more of a happy ending in a Gray versus Flashdroid trouser-off.

God please no…just…no. :scream:

Anyway it must be kind of a mess (mentally) to be the thinker droid, and having a lot of tecnological knowledge regularly “pop out of nowhere”, which is a lot more advanced than the people in the “current” time has. And I imagine it also being kind of infuriating, when the thinker MC know something is technologically possible/correct, but wouldn’t be believed/would be laughted at for talking about, out loud.
