Wow all these paths look extremely interesting and exciting to be explored, and I really loved all of the RO’s descriptions. I loved that the potential RO’s of your game have their own backround story, motivations and are written in depth and into the plot, not only serving as a RO, like many stories, which don’t give them importance.
I was right to be drawn to these two characters. Their descriptions make them even more fascinating to me. By far, my two favourite character descriptions.
I really hope, they are romantically availiable for my female!MC.
I have to ask though, if we follow the noble path, will we be able to help the rebels or influence negatively their rebellion?
It was a very messed up way to go. Are they even the same person anymore? I know they are physically different, but I wonder how they are mentally. At least She has an extremely durable body now and won’t be dying very easily a second time.
To answer this question, I will once again quote from my notes:
"The night has passed, and the last of the fires simmer darkly now, spent and hungry with nothing left to burn. A thin white sail unfurls and glides expertly towards the edge of the harbour. The pale sailor pilots the yacht masterfully, the bow cleaving cleanly through the yielding surf.
You raise yourself up from the cabin, and in his surprise he looks at you with a look halfway between shock and fear, as if awed by your presence.
‘A letter, Mr Gray? It lacks your usual boldness.’
The pale sailor looks to the open sky and closes his eyes, as if his skin were feeling the warmth of the sun for the first time.
‘I have been so devoted to my revenge I do not remember what manner of man I am without it.’
You cross the short deck and wrap your arms around his torso, resting your head on his shoulder. You feel the muscles slowly unknot, until he cannot stop himself from taking you into his arms.
Its work done, your fingers release the letter, which gently floats into the tide. As the water takes it, you remember the words within.
"My dearest (insert name here),
The thing I have loved most after you is myself. I have loved that dignity and strength and bitter adversity that made me superior to other men. That strength was everything that I am, and you have broken it with a single word. Therefore the man you know as Gray must die, and he is glad to do so."
Message received, from now on character’s name is no longer Tim.
Depends on your definition, I suppose. Selfish? Yes. Destructive? Absolutely. Power-mad and consumed with greed? Why the heck not. You’re brand new, you don’t have any particular notion of what good and evil mean. Of course some paths will be more nurturing of these tendencies than others.
Absolutely beautiful moment!
It certainly gives “Count of Monte Cristo” undertones (and his character some Mr. Darcy vibes). I can’t wait to reach at this point of the story and unravel his feelings and secrets, and the angst out of it.
Found an error with hair color selection, not sure if it’s been pointed out yet, but when I choose the brunette hair the next page it tells me "The Forge notes the colour, texture and consistency of your blonde hair for a moment, hoping to recreate it perfectly. "
Damn it, we died in a f’d up way but got rebuilt as an android no less. I love the idea of being in a time so far into the future that modern day tech is an ancient and lost technology but they still have the whole regal monarch thing going on with muskets and spears with a little bit of technomancy thrown in there. The setting kinda reminds me of Dishonored too (or at least that’s how I pictured it in my head).
Anyway, awesome story so far. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to more.
