TEENSY WEENSY UPDATE #3!! In which the PC sounds a bit less dead

  • The options on the first choice have been edited because they felt dead to me every time I saw them. Has a bit more life to it now. (Actually surprised nobody has commented on them?)
  • A choice has been added after you’re prompted to think quickly when the Elder asks you to choose between execution or giving the location of the jar.
  • Some page breaks

Note: this is probably the most attention the game is gonna get from me for this week, just letting you guys know  i have exams for the next three days and i hate school hahaha

edit: wow ive updated 3 times within the span of two days are you guys sick of me yet lol

I got an error!

Thank you for alerting me to that. It didn’t show up on the quicktest, which is strange. I’ll see what I can do about it.

Looking back, though, that might be the same charming error which popped up in @Eiwynn’s game. Curioser and curioser! I thought I fixed that. I’ll look into it further, I suppose.

Quicktest tends to miss errors that are dependent on the state of certain variables. You might want to try to run randomtest as well, for at least 1000 or so iterations. That should catch the stuff quicktest misses.

Yes, I agree with you.

May I ask what RGH stands for?

Thank you, thank you! I wasn’t aware of that. I’m not as familiar with all the tools as I’d like to be, so I appreciate the suggestion.

RGH is all the initials of my full name

Oooh, okay, now that you’ve got me curious it means I’m going to develop overly-complex theories that are most likely wrong on all accounts but super fun to come up with. (Over analyzing is fun!)

So, since you’ve said this, I’ve already got two weird theories…

[details=Here we go.]

So my first theory is that this ghost you’ve mentioned is a literal ghost and not a metaphorical one. The “so to speak” made me suspicious of this, since usually people would take “they’ve got their own ghosts” as a dark past or some overhanging event… yet the “so to speak” implies that this is false, and that this ghost is not what we would expect it to be.

Sooo… perhaps you mean, quite literally, the ghost of a dead person?

Which brings me to weird, over-analytical theory #2 and #3, which are my suspicions so far on who this ghost could be.

2 . A ghost of someone they knew.
(Pretty self explanatory, I think).

3 . Okay, I’m really stretching here, but…
did The “Ghost Thief” earn their name because they managed to steal a ghost? Maybe they killed someone or grave-robbed or whatever but… did they steal the ghost out of someone? And need it for some reason? Or maybe it was an accident that ended rather… unfortunately? Like I said, I’m stretching here. But theories are fun, and the weirder they are, the more fun it is to come up with them.[/details]

Also,

Never! If anything you’re going to spoil us with this, haha.

Interesting theories you have!

I’m not revealing anything else about or lovely thief, though. Where’s the thrill in that?

True, true!

Plus, it just means that I can come up with more theories as you unveil more information to us! :grinning:

You actually encounter their story fairly early in the game (chapter 3 or 4). Depending on your choices, you might never find out the full story  but it won’t be entirely your fault, worry not. It won’t affect the main plot much, but the thief’s path will be much easier for you if you find out the whole story.

KIND OF AN UPDATE BUT NOT REALLY!! Wherein I’m in love with random test.

  • Token issues fixed!
  • The absolute LAST gender flag issue for Dem has been fixed!
  • I’m going to marry random test and you’re all invited.

Hmm, I like it  Although, I was curious. Where’d you come by the word “Ascal”?

“Ascal” is actually a misspell of a word in my native language

Ah, I see. We actually use the same word where I’m from, but it is often used to pertain to, I believe, ‘stray’ pets loitering the streets.

I believe a more accurate translation would be “street dog,” don’t you think?

hopefully I’m right and you’re a fellow Filipino, too, but if I’m not then hahahaha…ha… that’d be embarrassing.
