The Lost Heir Trilogy

Mmmm… can we try to become Weapon Masters? After all it’s possible to get a MC with 100% in blades, archery and magic

Maybe the undead master could function somewhat similarly to the tattoo master does in TLH2, with taking levels of it allowing the PC to pick a couple of options from a list representing experimenting on their own undead body with necromancy - some representing stat boosts, additional capabilities (for example, one treatment might give the PC undead toughness and resilience, basically giving them the same options the magic shield from TLH1 does), or some combination of the two.

Quick question how u become a seer

Not sure if this been ask

Man, I guess I suck at this series, I only ever managed to get an arcane tatooist or alchemist. :frowning:

As for ideas, perhaps a magic fist (monk/divine or arcane caster)?

How about a demon rager, who purposefully summons demons into his own body to channel their powers through his own body?

How about a demonforger, someone who forces demons into inanimate objects like armor or weapons to enhance them?

An inventor?

If you’re open to monster classes, how about a ghost/revenant? Someone who didn’t let a little thing like dying stop them.

How about an impossible thief, someone who combines magic to enhance their thieving skills to 11?

You need high perception, magic, and arcana to qualify for the seer class, and to pick it after the siege at Ludd. That’s it.

For the magic fist, I feel like the monk route with the ki strike from the Eye from starting in the Norgan Mountains in TLH2 already covers that (though that hopefully has a further progression route in TLH3).

For the impossible thief, I feel like the thief amulet you can get as a thief and starting in the Wizard Academy in TLH2 (and keeping the weird dull dagger from TLH1) kinda covers the same thing. When you finish the thief amulet, it even has a blurb about probably having further magical powers for you to unlock. Hopefully this gets touched on more in TLH3 as well.

Quick question, will we be able to change our prestige class later in the game?

Or better yet, have 2 prestige classes at the same time?

I’d like to avoid anything to do with demons. They are the main plot device through this game, so anything with demons has to be very carefully applied.

Yes, you could potentially get two prestige classes. They will have some unique combination of requirements, and if you have them, you will be able to take it.

Hmmm, perhaps some variation of the Inventor… I’ll have to think on that.

Another class that might be neat to see is some kind of elemental specialist wizard class (requiring the character to have the elemental familiars from the Norgan Mountains in TLH2).

Pyromancers and such… hmmmm…

I’m not sure if one of your current classes overlap this suggestion but it would be neat to see the Illrigger a D&D class from way back in time. The dark paladin would be considered the prerequisite class to power up from.

To expand on this class:

These would be the historical “Inquisitors”/batmen sent by the evil deity to solve the hardest problems. Their powers are that much closer to the deity but to balance the powers take more from the Illrigger’s reserves. Think of the creme-de-la-creme of elites but with everything that is so terrifying also ironically their weakness - they are so close to the evil divine source that often their flexibility and creativity is limited…

They will use a hammer even if a hammer is not called for. This class is very two-edged and can provide great means for writing material.

I really like the illrigger, but it’s very similar to my Dark Knight.

I hope that people really like all the the existing still, which I plan to expand on in LH3 as well.

I figured that the Illrigger might be the Dark Knight’s “power-up” next time… just everytime I see “Dark Knight” I get a mental image of Batman in KIT (the car from knightrider) arguing with each other.

Quick Question, are you planning on any class specific side quests for LH3, more specifically for the prestige classes?
In addition do we still get the top class bonus if we go for it in LH3?

Oh, I had another thought for a prestige class- Golemist. A wizard that creates a hollow golem so they can climb inside and be a humanoid tank.

Some more out there ideas-

Living Idol- Infused body and soul with the power of gold, the character can spend wealth to heal, defense, or offense, gold becomes not just a tool but a weapon and shield as well.

Traveler- This one would be a good one for assassin, monk, and thief types, effectively, everyone else is essentially a flatlander to them- They can walk through walls, run on ceilings, teleport, fall upwards or sideways, that sort of thing.

Mimic/Blue Mage type- Either wizard types who can duplicate the abilities used against them (perhaps using demon powers against their rightful owners?), or can do a monkey see monkey do trick that allows them to duplicate the actions of others, friends or enemies alike.

Gemini- Someone who has mastered the trick of being in more than one place a time, making themselves one person armies.

Luckmaster- Someone who can give themselves or their allies good luck while giving bad luck to their foes.

Time Manipulator- Can speed themselves up, slow things down, blink of out existence to avoid attacks, that sort of thing.

Most of what you just said are far too OP to even consider.

I can only assume that you’ve never played a magician, since you can attack people with a forest, mass murder people with fireballs, or summon undead that can scare entire armies.

@Lucid My suggestion for new prestige class:
Demon Hunter: During the rampage of unrestricted demon summoning, there should be those who began to make a profession out of hunting loose demons and the possessed, we can train under them for experience against demons of all sizes.
The Everchosen: Took this straight out of warhammer, given to the MC once fully unlock the power of the Unknown.
Beast Master: Require high ranger level , nature and high physical strength and endurance, with the ability to command the wilds without magic.
The Inventor: High device, arcane and perception. Maybe invent steam punk weapons for the final battle as well as some surprise gadgets.
The Warlock: Given by Tybore if you can gain his trust, learning the true secrets behind the stones and learn to harness powers from the stones rather than sommoning.

There could also be some diversity with the vampire prestige classes.

You have your regular evil vampire lord, who hypnotizes people into becoming their slaves and drinking their blood. This obviously requires 100 Evil

But what if there was a vampire prestige class that required 100 Good? It could be a Holy Vampire or something. The Good Gods would not cure your vampirism, but instead bless you so that you don’t need to drink blood yet still benefit from the physical enhancements of being a vampire. And maybe there could be some type of blood fruit which could provide as an alternative for human blood?

It’s pretty far fetched, but I thought I’d share it anyway

@TheDrake, yes, I plan to have a special scene for each of the classes. I’ll have to decide later whether it will be one scene per play through, or if multi-classes can reach multi scenes. There will be brand new Achievements. I’m not certain what they are or if Top of the Class will be one again… we’ll see.

@stsword I like a lot of these ideas!

Golemist… I do like golems. I’m not sure if I’d go the Mecha route, but we’ll see.

Living Idol is a neat idea. I already have a class where you can pick and choose, the Tattooist. Perhaps they can buy the ingredients for a special tattoo or something similar?

Traveler is a neat idea. Even if it’s just the teleportation side of it, like Nightcrawler.

Mimic is cool too. Originally, this was what I had planned for the high level monk, but I went with Ki Strike instead.

Gemini, Luck Master and Time Manipulator are all neat, but might be difficult to do right.

@TheDrake They might be OP if given free reign, but on a limited basis, some might work.

Demon Hunter, Warlock and a few others might be fun, but I’m avoiding any classes that deal with Demons, since they are so connected to the plot. Beastmaster and Inventor (or some form of it) are on my list.

Everchosen is interesting. I have a few ideas around similar ideas as this already, so I’ll have to hold it aside and see if it still fits after I’ve written some more.

I like the idea of a Vampire Prestige Class, probably Vampire Lord. But I’m hesitant to do two of them, since the vampire storyline is only one of many. But, we’ll see. I’ll record it and think on it.

That’s a long list! But, keep them coming if you can think of more. Obviously I won’t use all of them, but it helps me to pick the best. Sometimes the best will be what fits nicest, what doesn’t overlap, what has it’s own clear niche, what will give cool choices in the last game without breaking the plot.
