I have started in on the bugs! I fixed all of the above. The update won’t occur until around release day, since I want to tack on something about getting Part 2.

I think I found the problem with the love interests. Asking Theo/Thea to dinner set his/her romance up too high, even if you ask out of politeness or as a friend. That made him/her very angry if you started seeing anyone else in Elmvale. 
Oh, and Karl/Karla would go to bed with you without thinking about whether you were seeing someone or not.
