BtD, don't read through this if you don't like dark/horror games like this
I cracked and downloaded the two games this morning because of you lol. I’ve gone through the three routes once in BtD2, died each time . Lawrence has my heart right now, he’s so cute! Except for that I got the ending where I presume he leaves us to die by scaphism .
Same deal for Till Death Do Us Part, except I lived each time. I kinda really liked Jack, outside of the maggots. Chris was okay, not my cup of tea. Marcus was super easy to play through though, since I knew he was a yandere. I think that in itself is a bit troubling lol.
I’m glad you’re enjoying Cinderella Phenomenon! The bad endings aren’t as bad as some other games like Nightshade or Nameless.
About yanderes, I agree with you and @Ventura. In my opinion, a good yandere would rather die than hurt their love, though there are some times that it doesn’t apply see Tei from Nameless. I guess it’d be better to say they would only hurt their love to protect them, but YMMV.
@Umbreonpanda @Anathema Oskar would probably shove you off though, let’s be honest. His goodbye was a one-off thing lol.
@Tristin_McComas @lo6otia I’m glad this caught your interest!
@Rogar Oh, I remember reading about Frederick Barbarossa. There are some real crappy / quirky rulers though, so I’ll put them under the cut.
Some tidbits on a few of the interesting rulers on the continent. I'll do more of them later.
Duke Iringó of Váreszka, Grand Duke of Trepheliya | The female duke who conquered the eastern steppe. Ruled for about seven years before dying under mysterious circumstances. Gained the moniker ‘the Goddess of War’ because of her never losing a battle. A genius tactician and eccentric who greatly admired Velibor.
King Velibor of Nairesty | He was killed by Iringó during her conquests, and known for his charisma and benevolence toward his people. However, he was utterly ruthless and cruel toward his enemy. Another military genius in his own right who was said to have been born under an unlucky star. Deeply infatuated with Iringó.
King Fitzroy of Selearn; Emperor of Selearn | An eccentric bastard who led his kingdom to become an empire. He despised the religious aspect of his kingdom, but played along in order to gain support. Against their traditions, he married the daughter of a pagan duke from Pryte, and did not take on any other consorts.
Emperor Theodoor II of Sylvatore | Another eccentric, who unlike his father, was not a tyrant. Kickstarted the industrial revolution in his nation because of his love for machinery, and doted on his illegitimate half-sister. Looked very scary, but was actually a softy at heart.
_Emperor Gerlach of Sylvatore | An utterly ineffective and useless sovereign. His mother had helped him take back the throne from his cousin, but he was more interested in his studies than anything, and was far too mild for his position. His wife, Empress Margaretha, had to deal with court from the background for his entire reign.
Empress Thyrza of Sylvatore | The only female to ever seize the throne for herself. Her father had been unable to inherit, so he lived his dream through her after faking his death. In order to earn his approval, she became ambitious for the throne and took it from Gerlach. She was a very effective ruler for the two years she reigned. She fell in love with her prime minister, who ended up betraying and killing her.
Emperor Ijsbrand of Sylvatore | A ruthless and ambitious emperor who murdered his brother out of jealousy and married his fiancée. Many feared him, but he was a surprisingly good ruler. Went mad in the later half of his reign when his wife killed herself.
Emperor Rembrandt of Sylvatore | A gentle and mild-mannered emperor who was well-liked before being murdered by his brother. Had a very short reign and was set to marry the sister of King Velibor.
Emperor Landerik of Sylvatore | An incredibly charismatic and popular emperor who conquered Drevutius after he accused them of assassinating his father. He was later murdered in return by their surviving royal, Princess Vaidota, who was rumoured to have been his lover.
Empress Marjolein of Sylvatore | A girl forced upon the throne after her father’s death. She was little more than a puppet for her uncle, the regent, and was subject to an assassination attempt as a child. She survived, but lost her memories after a long coma, and effectively lost whatever little influence she had left. She died not long after reawakening. Rumoured to have been involved with one of the court mages.
