Found a bit that sort of repeats when romancing Collin and Dorian:
Summary
Collin turns, glancing your way. His smile turns bittersweet when he sees you and Dorian.
Your heart twists with an unexpected longing. Even as Dorian’s warmth quickens your pulse, his touch a thrill and a delight, you almost feel guilty that you can get away with such closeness because you’re not in the spotlight. Collin cannot. He could not be so affectionate with you under all these watchful eyes without making a commitment as real as the one La’rast and Khanna have made.
Collin steps back, coming to stand beside you as Kedrick congratulates his sister and La’rast.
“They look good together,” he says quietly.
“They do,” you agree.
His smile is bittersweet, holding your gaze, his sentiment unspoken. He restrains himself from reaching out to touch you in the midst of so many watchful eyes. Collin takes a breath, then looks away, back to the couple of the hour. He’s in the spotlight. Showing you affection here is not something he can do without making a commitment as real as the one La’rast and Khanna have made.
Pronoun error, my MC is a guy:
“Aye, milady.” The boy answers for the lot of them.
There are implications for him as crown prince. His choice of wife will be seen by all and judged by many, but you don’t have to think about that right now.
