Very interesting concept, big fan of the setup and cadence. I look forward to seeing your progress.

That information will be revealed as the game progresses

Thank you teaching for me. And I have one question and one suggestion. What is the culture of the country in this game like? Also, how about allowing MCs to attend culture-related events or MCs to sponsor cultural projects?

I found a bug. I get an error message “memu line 29: bad label bill 1”.

The game is too short to give a proper feedback.

I would love to see how the story develops from where it ends for now. The idea seems to be exciting.

Culture isn’t a major thing in the game. But it will a mixture of british/european.

When do you get the error?

It happens when you try to talk to the prime minister after talking to the leader of the opposition party.

By the way, I’m interested in diplomacy, especially foreign aid, human rights diplomacy, and the relationship between military power and diplomacy. Is there such an element in the game? Also, does the game have anything to do with nuclear weapons or peaceful nuclear power?

There will be diplomacy. Not sure about nuclear weapons, likely not

By the way, what is the current development status of the game?

IMO, the game should be called ‘The Crown’ with a capital letter. Looks better as a title.

don’t tell me it again dead!!!?

Currently, my priority is to create a more comprehensive demo.

It isn’t dead. I’m still working on it. But I have final year university exams + essays so I haven’t been very active lately. However, I have been working in the shadows to create a better demo, and will keep working on it (will probably have a better demo by summer).

thank you. I have a few questions about the game.

First of all, what is the military like in this game?

Next, the currency unit seems to be the pound. Is this the sterling pound or is it its own currency? What is the monetary value of your own currency?

Next, what kind of laws exist in my country and what rights are guaranteed to citizens?

Finally, what is the structure of the government in my country? (For example, what ministries are there and what are the legislative and judicial branches?)

Also, if you don’t mind, can you tell me about that after the exams are over?

One more thing that made me think about your game is the economy that each political party of the MC parliamentary government proposes.

I have played Hearts of Iron IV a lot and researched the history of the world economy on my own and came to a conclusion that you might consider:

  • Could you make the nationalist party instead of supporting neoliberalism, support a type of economy called “Corporatism”? (a type of economy that combats the uncertainty of the free market and has the objective of regulating the economy to achieve “harmony and cooperation of social classes” but without altering the classical hierarchy of the capitalist economy)

I bring it up because many say they want to restore the MC’s absolute power as monarch. They follow the classic tactic of allying with the military but… How do we get the support of the people? simple, a corporatist economy, the state intervenes to promote the harmony of social classes, ensuring well-being for the working class and peasants but without renouncing the privileges of the aristocracy because thanks to their power “they are the benefactors of the people” by sponsoring many things in society with their fortune such as universities, Hospitals, orphans, etc (and incidentally also forming a cult of the personality of the MC monarch).

In conclusion, the monarchs and aristocrats would be the ruling class, followed by the military and then the bourgeois organized in “professional councils” with leaders of unions of industrial workers, peasants and bourgeois to discuss the modalities of work, salary and benefits corresponding to each one (without clearly forgetting the surplus value of the bourgeoisie but with a well-paid worker to ensure their well-being and that of their family).

These “professional councils” are the ones that would be in charge of the affairs of the economy Likewise, as indicated, it is necessary for the aristocracy to promote the solidarity of social classes so that the people see the king and his aristocrats as great benefactors of the people. And if the situation of the people becomes serious, it is when they would bring extraordinary measures to the “royal council’s” discussion table to save the situation or resort to the king’s help.

The royal council would be the definitive replacement for a parliament dissolved by the MC, where the “benefactors”, the aristocracy together with the military meet with the MC monarch to discuss state affairs such as diplomacy, war or the collection of taxes from professional councils and the common people.

And so the MC could form a 21st century monarchical utopia.

Do not know how I didn’t notice this story before as it has been around for a fairly good time.

Loving the concept and really if you play it correctly perphaps European/Asian/African monarchs need to take a look at it to save their own asses for the decades of challenges these old institutions go through today, imagine a Bourbon lad secretly being a fan of this oh the shivers.

Concerning my suggestion for the tale, would love for you to include ethnic minorities being represented with their own political parties(independence seeking parties or even regionalist ones to give your map a tad more colour), reflect what ethnic nationalism looks like on modern nation states, one extremely interesting topic that brings more dread to the role of the protagonist as these people want to become independent or a more decentralised state and you of course want to keep them inside as that’s the traditional land of the country you rule.

Monarchs on those cases usually try to appear neutral only to defend the vonservative constitution that prevents said ethnic groups from becoming their own republics, it all is combined with the perception of the Monarchy and the corruption that arises from it.

Best of luck, really want to play an updated demo!
