R is actually far away from N, so it did sound weird to me 
But yeah, there are 2 romance options right now. I might add more in the future because the story is pretty long.
So great idea great sense of humor love the idea but what kind of code are you using to determine how each option is changing the mc from chaotic to ohh I donāt know angelic?

Iām using some hidden variables (Mostly strings and booleans) to determine what is going to happen later in the story and how much your alignment will change based on your choices.
Sometimes it is going to be obvious that an action is good or evil, but the outcomes may vary.
I am not sure about which attributes are going to appear in the stats screen, but I was thinking about having Sanity, Humanity, Notoriety, Cleverness and Alignment.
I almost only play homosexual charactersā¦ donāt know why - i myself iām straight. i guess i always am curious of how author will work with this theme.
for me, i would like a game where ācoming outā, saying to someone of same sex or my parents, others in general, about my preference, could be a bad idea (or bad with wrong timing). Iām more then tired in medieval-ish games were Mothers would be like (in British accent): āOh, our son is in love with the neighbors boy, I canāt wait when they get married and have children!ā sips tea Uhā¦
I guess, i donāt like unicorns and rainbows or somethingā¦

Yeah, I understand, that is pretty much what I wanted to do, but Iām afraid that most people will end up throwing rocks at me for being realistic there.
question here, i think is - do you want people throw rocks because they canāt be homosexual or they can and some of them might not like it. from my point of view, you get less rocks by giving rather then refraining.
Then again, most important is, do you want to write stuff about that? Do what you like and what makes you happy, rather be a sour plum in a corner, having a writer block.

You know what? I might be able to add that kind of interaction in a subtler way, perhaps some extra choices while talking to āromanceableā characters, but without actually choosing if you want to be gay or straight at the start of the story.

You could tell them what will happen in your game if they choose to be homosexual but if your unsure I would suggest using a poll that way if people canāt get angry itās what they wanted after all and it would be pure luck that either side wins so. 
As far as the realistic approach, I say go for it. Even a have a lynching go down, back then, stuff like that was treated with malice.

Wow, I would never do anything extreme like that.
Letās say one of the romanceable character becomes your best friend, and then suddenly, you say that you love them.
That would be quite a shock for me in real life, so the same logic applies in the game.
But lynching a homosexual character? That is simply too much, It would be asking for trouble 
Yes. It would be too much. Pretty sure that ancient Eastern Asia didnāt lynch people anyways so it wouldnāt even be historically accurateā¦ Also depending on where you set it, based off of Wikipedia. There were homosexual relationships in Edo Japan, even the gods were seen as guardians of them. But thatās just what a wiki says.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this story doesnāt happen in Asia, it is more of a classic fantasy medieval setting.
Iām not very good with oriental geography and their culture in general 
well personally depending on how they went about it, Iād stop all connection. A few years ago some guy who I thought was a friend said something along those lines, I puked on the spot. Although I stopped communication with him after that, it was because of found out he supported someā¦controversial, illegal subjects. Lynching happened a lot back in the day, mainly to witches, murderers, and during colonial times, black individuals.
See now that makes a lot more sense to me. I just figured since we were playing a kitsune that itād be set in Asia

The main reasons why I chose a kitsune as the main character would be:
- They are usually seen as chaotic creatures, be it chaotic good, neutral or evil.
- The abilities work with the story I have in mind.
- They are not widely used like vampires or werewolves.
- I wanted to add a little twist to the universe, breaking some rules and cliches.
