Team Zero (WIP)

@darkstar2101 An’ I hope you’ll give 'em a big hug if ya do because if not… I will find you.

I’m looking forward to Kat’s flashback. :slight_smile:

@MarvelousMatty I hope it will live up to your expectations. So far, it’s shaping up to be one of the more action-packed segments

@darkstar2101 and @Bagelthied I would also except “outline Remedies for me” :slight_smile:

@P_Tigras I’m super excitied to start digging into hers. I think it’s going to provide a lot of insight on all of the characters.

I loved what I’ve played so far and can’t wait for more! That said, my commander is quite the shameless flirt and I was wondering if it’ll come back to bite her in the butt? Would everyone gang up on her and ask her to make a decision like they do in the Mass Effect series? :stuck_out_tongue:

Loving this so far, all the characters are well developed and seem to have the right balance of subtly tributing certain hero types without being out-right rip-offs of actual characters. Would I be right in thinking that in the final game the player is going to visit each of the other characters in whatever order they wish and elect how their current relationship stands before the flashback?

With what you’ve shown us so far, it looks like I can be certain no serious harm comes to Damon.
How will we see Kat in the modern day? If she displays no symptoms of mental issues or physical injuries then we can make her do anything and know she will be okay. The same goes for all the other characters. If we see them in the present, then we know they will do fine in the past.

@God_of_Demonz

That doesn’t mean it can’t have signs of mental traumas or injuries at that time that they might still hold a grudge over. It’s been a long time for all the characters, so they might just try to hide their problems from you, unless the past establishes a very strong or negative relationship.

Link?

@ceecrab Seeing as your Commander is hardly the only flirt on the team, it would feel a bit hypocritical for them too give you to hard of a time about it. So feel free to flirt to your heart’s content!

@derekmetaltron Pretty much, although “elect” might be too strong a word. It’s really up to the player how they want to treat the characters in the present day, and you’re free to be as mercurial about it as you want.

@God_of_Demonz and @RedRoses RedRoses approach is a bit closer to how I’m going to handle it. At this point with Damon, for example, you’ve had a fifteen minute conversation and before that hadn’t spoken for ten years. The MC really doesn’t have enough time to get a read on him or get him to open up. Plus, with Damon at least, no matter how messed up he may or may not be, he’d rather gargle broken glass than show any signs of weakness to the MC. Later on in the game, you’ll get a chance to spend more time with everyone in the present day (and possibly get a couple of drinks in them), which will allow for a lot more tearing into old wounds. I’m also planning on adding more variation to the flashback framing conversations, but it’s not something I’m really going to worry about until I’ve finished all of them.

@Dolphinzgirl

I love the game!!! Excellent JOB!!!

@Dragonslayer Thanks!

@Dolphinzgirl oh gosh, with that brief description you just said I seriously cant wait for more!

@MarvelousMatty I’m really looking forward to writing it. It’s a lot of fun to be able to switch back and forth between two pretty different stories. It’s also going to be fun getting to explore the whole “what happens after you save the world” angle.

What I meant to say is that if a character were to say, lose a limb or become crippled, we would see that upon the beginning of our present day conversation with them. Prehaps Kat has ruined legs, we would see her with those broken legs in the present and know that no matter what we did she would loose the ability to walk. The same goes for all the other characters, there are plenty of permenent injuries that cannot be hidden from view. If the tech of the present can fix their issues, I’ll know that I can let Owen lose a limb and let him have a prosthetic that is harder, faster, and stronger then his old arm. Maybe add a built in gun for good measure, but the end result? Maybe the team hates me, but they ALL SURVIVE. Please add some people we don’t see at the funeral who’s lives are affected by our choices. Like the Russian warden, or a Chinese spec op, some person whose survival is not guaranteed.

@God_of_Demonz No worries on that front, the plan has always been for the PC to walk out of the game with various amounts of blood on their hands depending on their choices.

With just what’s up in the demo so far, there have already been at least 3 decisions that will have life or death consequences down the road (in addition to the stat affecting stuff which can also effect things for better or for worse).

…well now I’m incredibly anxious!
Good anxious, though. Means I really care about these characters :smiley:

@RedRoses Aww, that makes me really happy! I’ll try not to torture the characters too badly (unless I decide it’s fun >:) )

Update News

The beginning of Kat’s flashback is now posted. Consider it a teaser for what’s coming up (which should be a fun ride).

Can’t wait.

If you don’t mind my asking, how old is everyone?

Really loving the update with Kat so far.
