@xPikachurin I’m glad you like the game and my writing style. I think I’m just physically incapable of doing the Nathaniel Hawthorne “I’ll take five pages to describe a door” sort of writing.

@God_of_Demonz It’s not so much a matter of being under-equipped as it is the fact that Team Zero has only been in existence for a few weeks at this point. It takes a lot of time and a lot of paperwork to retrofit a base, requisition expensive equipment, etc. You’re going to see the base grow and develop a lot in the background as time goes on . Plus just because you don’t have dedicated equipment doesn’t mean you can’t just go and use someone else’s. To answer your second question, I haven’t decided yet if the player will have control over upgrading the base/training, or if it will just happen naturally in the background.
@Dolphinzgirl I will now start a new club, called ‘Everyone Who Named The Base Jump Zero’. Just checking if that’s okay with you. Also, Jump Zero should be a preset name option.
I did feel that the current base sequence was a bit bare bones though. I assume that there is more to come on this section? I didn’t see any errors, but that might’ve been because I was skimming it a little.
@Perfect_Storm Only the first 1/3 or so of the base sequence is up right now. I’m still working on the rest of the conversations and the debrief with General Fields. Overall though, the main purpose of it is to wrap-up the recruitment missions and establish a base point so the player can see how much things change and evolve over the course of the game.

@R3dSt1ng I’ve noticed. I’m already at around 50,000 words and the game is only about 1/8 done. And to think I thought it would be a small game when I started working on it :-/
@Dolphinzgirl - Second Base indeed. Just don’t go too far and end up at Fifth Base… :-/ Close Encounter of the Fifth Base is not good.

@Storm It was the first thing I thought of that wasn’t completely awful, so I went with it. It took me for freaking ever to come up with a title. I was initially going to go for the acronym approach, but I couldn’t come up with anything that wasn’t stupid or derivative. So I figured the eventual plan for Fields’s group would be to have multiple teams (a la Stargate), and since this was a preliminary test group, it was got the “Zero” designation. If the group had lasted, they probably would have received a new “official” designation eventually.
A few things that were mentioned earlier and are slightly off-topic now:
It was said that there will be a conversation having to do with a male cheerleader. Can I then assume that there will also be a conversation about a female football player?
It was also mentioned that there will be several ways of romancing the LIs, such as a more purely physical relationship. I’m not sure I can imagine either Alex or Kat becoming involved in something like that. If it’s not too spoilery, can we get an idea of what the alternate path for them would be?
Aside from my questions, I have to say that I really enjoy this demo so far and I’m definitely looking forward to what comes next.
