Team Zero (WIP)

that we should know about*

@Bagelthief That’s technically correct in terms of grammar, but that’s not how most people talk - @staubfinger 's suggestions would be better for speech. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe it’s because I’m English and ya guys’re American, mostly but, I’d never ever phrase it that way. It’d either be “that” or “who”, I can’t ever think of how out place it’d seem.

Finally done all the team recruitment missions, really liked Kat and Alex’s characters in particular.

Yay! It was nice to see some Sarah in action, especially since her skills were unexpected.

Yeah I opted for the two women to retruit first so I had Kat with me when I recruited Sarah. Their interaction was amusing. Loved her interaction with Owen, those two should so hook up :wink:

@staubfinger, @bagelthief, and @OtherGrimm Thanks for the catch, I’ll make sure to correct that in the next update.

@derekmetaltron I’m glad you liked them; Kat and Alex are super fun, and they provide a nice balance to the darker characters.

@FairyGodfeather Glad you liked Sarah’s contribution. While Sarah’s abilities might not pack the same punch in terms of combat in comparison with the other characters, she more than makes up for it by having the broadest skill set on the team. That girl is full of surprises :wink:

@derekmetaltron Yeah, Sarah is super snarky; it’s the main reason she and Owen get on so well. They’re pretty much the definition of Vitriolic Best Buds. The tvtropes page quote pretty much perfectly summarizes their relationship. “A very good measure of how good your friends are is how much you can insult them without them taking offense.” Although they do occasionally combine their powers to go after their more self-serious teammates.

I think it’s going to be me, Sarah and Kat for missions, with Owen and John given muzzles and a leash to make them behave and no killing!

Okay now that makes me curious, are you actually intending to follow the example of the recruitment missions and have a partner or two, or are we going to have grand missions involving everyone?

It occurred to me that either some partners are going to suboptimal depending on the scenario unless you were really willing to rewrite the scenarios to match the partner.

Owen isn’t going to nearly as good at stealing things as Sarah I imagine, but Alex with his speed would probably make a pretty good thief.

@FairyGodfeather Poor Owen and John, you never let them have any fun :slight_smile:

@stsword Every mission from here on in is going to involve the entire team as a whole.

Gotta admit, I think Sarah and Owen are going to be my favorite duo. I honestly don’t mind the nicknames Owen gives everyone, and the banter is quite funny :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah, Owen’s definitely at the top of my bro list.

Remember to take ur time also more explosives plz

@Dolphinzgirl Hey, at least they get to come along, unlike Alex who will be locked away for his own safety. He won’t die unless I forget to feed and water him. No missions for Alex.

Hey does that mean Damon gets dragged along on missions too? Or does he still sit in his penthouse telling us what to do?

@FairyGodfeather Oh man, Alex would go crazy being locked in. He’d run around in circles and rattle the bars on his cage, and the MC would shout from a safe distance ‘It’s for your own good! I’m only doing it because I love you!’.

I assumed Damon is our voice with an internet connection, giving mission info during the action (a sort of multi-purpose GPS, if you will). Can’t see him crawling in the mud with a knife between his teeth, ya know? (Owen, on the other hand… That sounds like a rather, ahem, impressive sight. /fans self)

I’d get him a wheel like a hamster and one of those water bottles. And I’d hook the wheel up so it could generate electricity for the rest of us.

@LordCypher Owen is pretty brotastic.

@darkstar2101 Don’t worry, I will :slight_smile:

@FairyGodfeather Poor Alex, stuck in his hamster cage.

As for Damon, he does tend to take the mission control route more often than not on missions (fieldwork is for those who are less intellectually gifted than he, and he’d rather not get his hands dirty, after all), but he’s there in person for all the missions you actually play in game (not that he’s always happy about it).

@Jackrabbit I love your comment about Owen. It gave me this awesome mental image of him on the cover of one of those cheesy romance novels.

If Alex is good I’ll let him out in a completely impenetrable ball so he can run about free for a while without getting hurt.

Oh poor Damon. I think I’d much rather he just stays back at the office and isn’t actually a liability. I’d hate to have to do the mission and get someone to look after him at the same time. I am curious as to what sort of situations demand that he goes along personally instead of just using his technology stuff.

I like Sarah she’s complete sacarasm and funny.

Thief huh I’m not sure if I’d want her to steal things from me or not

@FairyGodfeather So does that mean Alex’s new superheroic identity is Bubble Boy?

As for Damon, he’s by no means a liability in the field. He’s just whiny about it and doesn’t like doing things he considers beneath him. As for the sort of situations that demand he go along personally, he’ll tag along on any mission he finds intriguing, where his presence helps advance his goals, or where he considers it important (because he certainly doesn’t trust you to get the job done right if he’s not there).

@Storm Sarah would never steal from you. Probably.
