Yay! I’m Glad Alex can use his power too. Only… BOO!! It’ll just make me miss him all the more when he dies. Why does he need to be the nice one? And that’s good about his motivations. I wouldn’t mind having that discussion with him at some point, at the everyone chilling at HQ after recruitment scene when the gang finally throws its Team Zero party.
If you have to go to an expensive resturant for a mission can we Barney arm the bill off to Sarah?
@FairyGodFeather But Alex has to be the nice one. If he were a jerk there wouldn’t be a game. Everyone would have just gone “good riddance,” instead of reuniting for his funeral
@God_of_Demonz Well, if it’s really for a mission then Uncle Sam will probably end up paying the bill. Still, there are benefits to having people like Sarah and Damon on the team.
@Dolphinzgirl Damn! You’re right I guess. It’s going to be heart-breaking when he dies. NO!!! Alex don’t die.
I’ve spent the last half hour going “What do they mean Alex dies? He’s not dead!” And I opened up the demo again and then realized that the entire beginning was going to his funeral and my heart just kinda broke when I figured out that the good-looking-boyish super hero that I’ve come to love is … dead … -cries- I don’t see how I completely forgot about that … I was enjoying his company so much! :-((
Aside from my crocodile tears, this game has been very very delightful thus far. Aside from Alex I’d have to say Damon is my favorite (adore the dancing scene by the way), and I like all the characters because I think you’ve written them is such a fantastic way that it’s easy to be able to connect and enjoy their personalities. Even John. Honestly the entire premise of the game is such a really cool concept and I just like it so much and yay! -rambles on happily-
Keep up the good work!
Hugs! >:D<
@FairyGodfeather Well, the important thing is that the game is actually making you feel things, even if it is horrible heart-breaking sadness
@Toxi I’m glad you like it! If it weren’t for the fact that the whole game revolves around Alex’s funeral, even I would be reconsidering his fate at this point. He just turned out so darn adorable
I’m also glad you loved the dancing scene with Damon, it was an incredibly fun scene to write.
I’ve got to say I love what you have so far!! Rarely has a demo been enough to make me love a game this much. Great job so far!
@WizKid Thanks so much! Writing the game in and of itself is fun, but knowing that people really enjoy it is what makes it rewarding.
@WizKid The finished product is quite a ways out, but I’m slowly chipping away at it. I’m already at 35,000 odd words, which I think is just nuts
Hmm, since Alex is so popular lets think of ways to make his funeral a bit early: evil twin, extradimensional doppelganger, clone, he was drugged and turned into a superfast zombie, it was an illusion, his death was faked by his kidnappers, his power weren’t superspeed but time manipulation and its actually his dead body from an alternate future, let’s see if we can inspire our author. lol
His death was faked, like Agent Coulson’s, in order to bring the team back together again and give them motivation to save the world once more.
@FairyGodfeather But wait…if they wanted to bring the team together…DOES THIS MEAN WE HAVE ANOTHER AWESOME MISSION TO DO?!
Or its all a dream…
Or maybe its not just Alex who’s dead, maybe everyone’s dead, and this is just a collective dream you built to rediscover each other before you move on.
Or maybe that was the ending to Lost. One of the two.
@FairyGodfeather I think that if Alex faked his death he’d really have to worry about being killed by the rest of the team when they found out
teamzeroception
Dundundunnnnn
@FairyGodfeather, Alex seems way too nice to pull a stunt like that and put the rest of the team through all that grief, unless Damon somehow “convinced” him to go along with it and was masterminding the whole thing as usual.
No! I don’t think Damon was masterminding things. He seemed genuinely upset by Alex’s loss.
I do think the story needs Alex being dead. Alex being dead practically is the story after all. But I’d likely be as interested in a story where he does the typical superhero thing of coming back to life.
Or you work out a way to go back in time, in order to save him, only to discover that every time you try and save him you mess things up far worse than they were, and you’re forced to accept that the universe needs Alex dead. I guess that’s an entirely different game though.
