@God_of_Demonz Kat and Alex’s recruitment missions are exclusively solo missions. Sarah can tag along on your mission to Moscow to recruit Owen, however.
@darkstar2101 I’m writing as fast as I can Hopefully I’ll have all of John’s mission done by next week.
I’m loving Owen so far, I’m a huge fan of the super snarky types. I look forward to the next update! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite games on the site.
@LordCypher Owen is basically the best bro ever if you appreciate the snarky type and/or want someone to get into massive amounts of trouble with.
@Eriedanna Thanks so much for the compliment! Ever since I decided Owen’s personality was basically “Standard professional mercenary + Han Solo + Sawyer put through a blender” he’s become my absolute favorite character to write.
I’m torn but I think I still slightly prefer Damon myself, when it’s finished I’m definitely going to do an Owen playthrough though but Damon has an adorkable quality that Owen being a straight up badass seems to lack.
I wasn’t that taken by Owen, which is good, it means he’s suitably different from the others. The nicknames struck me as annoying, and the things he said about Damon. Captain Corporate America indeed (okay that make me smirk). I may need to see more of him to change my mind.
@idonotlikeusernames Anything that encourages multiple playthroughs is a good thing I’m working really hard to try and include enough unique and varied content to make multiple playthroughs actually worthwhile. Also, while Owen might be more of a straight up badass, I would never underestimate Damon.
@Fairygodfeather Yeah, Owen can be kind of a prick, although I will say he’s one of the more dynamic characters in terms of the impact the MC can end up having on him.
@stsword and @God_of_Demonz I will make sure to include an option like that in the next update.
I like the idea of the relationship with Damon initially not working out. Then they can be bitter/passive agressive with each other until one or the other brings it up in an argument and then they can have a long talk and have a sort of love/hate thing? Depends on MC’s personality ofcourse. Playing games, I usually want to see the protagonist suffer a bit. I like the drama. That, or i’m a sadistic evil person.
@Winterborn The relationship with Damon is definitely one of the more complicated ones. And there will plenty of opportunities for drama/making your PC suffer if you so choose >:)
@stsword What you wrote is mostly the case, although not entirely. The exact course the various romances take varies a lot from character to character. Without getting into too many spoilers, I will say that the “lock-in” point for the romances is in the present day.
Interesting . . . that implies a good portion of the story will concern the present day and onward. I assumed the majority of the game would take place in flashbacks.
@Saint_Nicholas As it stands right now, there are seven flashbacks mixed in with four present day sequences. I think the flashback sequences will probably wind up being longer than the present day ones, so it will probably work out to be about a 70/30 split between past and present day.
@Storm You are too sweet! When it comes to creating the characters, I basically chose a comic book archetype for each character and then thought about how I would write it. Then I deconstructed, reconstructed, added other elements, thought about what characters I would want in a game, figured out what I would enjoy writing, put them through a blender, and just played around with them until I was happy.
