Will we have friends outside Team Zero? Recruiting your old squadmate for a tough misson and almost losing them or losing them? Talking to an informant you’ve known for a long time? I would also like to see our past come up beyond what we saw in our file. SEALs are thought of as America’s elite soliders so I would like to know some more about what kinds of ops I’ve been on
So who’s the happily ever after with the male characters? Not Alex since he’s dead. We know Damon doesn’t believe in love or romance. (Ha!) Oh no! The men are all doomed.
@P_Tigras Actually, she said the numbers would even out for 'happily ever after’s, not that both of them were options. Maybe there ARE none. 
@P_Tigras I’m glad you had fun doing Sarah’s mission, I had so much fun writing it, and I know I’ve done my job when it’s actually difficult to decide who you like better 
Making sure those sorts of decisions were actually difficult was a sort of goal I gave myself for this game. I’ll be really curious to see who everyone ends up romancing.
@Trollhunterthethird I know exactly what you mean. I go back and forth a lot on who I’d romance if I were playing the game myself. Owen was originally a bit of a boring generic mercenary guy, but now that I’ve actually given him a real personality and figured out his character, he is rapidly becoming my new favorite.
@God_of_Demonz Of course the PC has friends outside of Team Zero, and some of that will come up a little bit, but its not really a focus. Your past will come up more in the future, although it comes up mostly in conversation except for a few points where it seriously impacts the story.
Is owen like inspector gadget then, since his enhancements are internal and he appears normal? :-/

@Aera Think more of sci-fi style augments and enhancements a la Star Trek and Mass Effect. Owen has augmented eyes, organs, nervous system, that sort of things as opposed to something like robot legs or arms.
@lordirishdas I love the Six Million Dollar Man. My grandmother was actually good friends with Martin Caidan, who wrote the book the show was based on.
@OtherGrimm Logically you are correct. Nevertheless I think it pretty safe to infer from our talented authoress’s words that there is at least one “happily ever after” romance per sex, and a very high probability of two.
@Dolphinzgirl I find Sarah’s plucky flirtatiousness and self-confidence appealing, even as I also find Kat’s combination of sincerity, dedication, and strong desire to experience all the things in life she’s previously missed, equally appealing. Decisions, Decisions… Good thing we’ll be able to play more than once…
@Dolphinzgirl, aww, why do I get the feeling that Damon is too cute and badass for our poor characters to get a happy romance ending with.
Maybe we can at least reconnect with Damon during the present day scenes in that case for the possibility of a delayed happier ending?

@OtherGrimm Good catch, although I’m pretty sure I’m not mean enough to include no happy endings. I do have a heart around here somewhere. Plus, a lot of the fun of having so many romances in the game is that it gives me the opportunity to write a really wide spectrum of different romances and draw inspiration from all kinds of places.
@P_Tigras Yay for multiple playthroughs! I have a soft spot for sassy southern belles like Sarah, and present day Kat is easily one of the most badass people on the planet.
@idonotlikeusernames Damon is a fun character, and I really like the snippets of his romance I’ve written so far. Anything more than that is spoiler territory I will say that at least in my opinion, there’s at least some happiness on all the romance paths and none of the romances are written as pure tragedy.
I can’t wait to meet john! He seems to be an interesting character:)
@Dolphinzgirl With a power set like Kat’s, that isn’t surprising. She’s potentially the most powerful member of the group. And as far as our sassy southern belle is concerned, I’ve been wondering if Sarah’s going to end up making the first move on our character if she thinks we may be receptive, instead of waiting for us to make a choice. She seems to be one of those gals who is used to getting what she wants, whatever or whoever that happens to be. And she’s already signaled her interest.
I know I’m late to the party but I really enjoy this game. The characters are intriguing and I can’t wait for more.
I love when a character goes through a change like Kat does. From sheltered inside a school to present day badass wooh!
@Chriswa27 John is a very cool character, especially now that he’s gotten much more complicated than he was when I originally came up with him.
@P_Tigras Yeah, one of the fun things about Kat is that’s she’s still figuring out just what she can do with her powers, so the scope of her powers actually grows over the course of the game as she and the rest of the team come up with new ideas. In terms of Sarah, she certainly is assertive enough to make the first move, but I haven’t really gotten into writing the romance proper stuff yet, so I’ll just have to see how it ends up when I get there.
@spyfox259 Thanks! It makes me really happy that you find the characters intriguing. To me there’s nothing worse than a story with bland characters.
@Scrivener Kat has probably the most traditional character arc out of everyone on the team. Since the MC is already established as a hero, I like the idea of having another character basically go through their own hero’s journey in the background. Plus, grown up Kat kicks so much ass.
