While writing for the game today, I considered adding an extra customization option for Skink players, the option to add breasts. I’m unsure how to handle this or if it’s even a worthwhile addition, so I’m seeking your opinions on the matter. Do you think its a good idea? if so what kinda of options you’d like to see lol

Thing is, you were human before you were sent into the system. If you were a girl or wanted to be, or had the necessary treatments to be…lizard or not, you might want your/your preferred/your desired anatomy back when it became an option. So I vote yes, do add it. But also add a note/flavour text, something for female (or male playing female characters) players who would prefer to stick to actual non mammalian anatomy and retain a flat and truly reptilian torso while being a female character.
I find it stupid that someone is actually talking about realism in a fantasy game with monsters, a system, mythical creatures like dragons and phoenixes and beings strong enough to become Gods. So regarding the breast option, just like in my previous post, I vote yes obviously. Of course like @AnneWest said, add it as a option where you can pick to have it or not in case some players wants to go for the realism aspect to make sure some people don’t complain about it.

I vote no simply because it sounds odd to me. If it was more lizardman than big, upright skink I’d probably think differently. In fact, attempting to achieve a more human body that is comfortable with MC’s mind sounds like something to chase after. If you want a body that has breasts and is more humanoid, that kind of really pushes a reason to choose that path instead of the more bestial.
But that’s like… just my opinion, man. Make it a goal, instead of something achieved on the first evolution toward a humanoid lizard.
Lizards don’t even have nipples. In this case, achieving breasts should be considered being made more human.
EDIT: However, in thinking more of the game itself, it WOULD make sense if we took a bite from the one human and could spend evolution points on adding breasts, which would be an abnormal trait for the skinks. I could see that, easily. I just think it removes a really good goal to chase after throughout the story.
What’s the last scene in the demo? I dont remember if i played the last update or not.
Until now we did not have anything indicating we could get traits from other species though. Or am I wrong?
And I also would find it good to have it to be something later to stove for, a more hunab like body. (That’s one of the goals of many of such stories). But also a lizard living in a cave permanently is also not really realistic. As lizard normally would require heat. So who says not that there exist Lizards with non functional breast/nippels in that world. (With non functional I mean they may or may not work but don’t serve any function. )

Also what would also be kinda interesting would be if the gender to our old body could be different to our lizard ones. To have another layer of anxiety/panic over. Or even something on the lines like. “Who would have thought to be born with the sex I wanted all I needed to do was die and be reborn as a Lizard.” Kind of thing.
I would also like really sarcastic comments about our situation, as another way to deal with all as I thing we don’t really have that one. So similar to the optimistic/dream came true kinda way. But just in a negative way/sarcastic way. If you get what I mean.

I’m just trying to be kind to the breast-wanters and fit it into the game in a way that makes sense to me. Basically challenging my own opinion and desire for the story. I just think going from lizard to more mammal-like should be a bigger deal.
Yeah kinda agree that it should be a bigger deal, especially for one that does not deal with the situation all that well. Maybe have a toggle in the option/stat screen for people that are really bothered with that. Or just look a likes/ non functional/functioning ones?
But tbh it would mean more work so maybe at the end or when some polishing work is being made? Don’t know what would be easier.
(Speaking of situation I total dig the way we can have panic attacks and not really deal well with all the stuff)
