Also, you did actually interact with Issam and he asked you your favorite food when Vince gave you the tour of the ship at the beginning of the chapter.
Stumbled upon this pic online yesterday. Thought some of you may enjoy it. This is the USS Kearsarge, the second of five ships to bear such a name in the US Navy. The first was a sloop of war that famously sunk a confederate raider during the civil war off the coast of France.
The first Kearsarge was named after a mountain in New Hampshire of little significance. With the four succeeding ships honoring the original and the ships that have came after. American battleships traditionally are named after states, with only the Kearsarge bucking this trend. It was an easy choice to name the battleship where you attend the Navy academy after the long tradition of Kearsarges.
Here the second Kearsarge is decorated for the Fourth of July in 1903, a few years before it would be a part of the famous Great White Fleet.

Hey Optimal, just noting a couple of typos in the ship builder path in case you haven’t caught them yet. Can’t wait to play more! I seem to have chosen some pretty good perks (Eye and WizKid) to let me swim through the corporate shark tank without getting too many chunks taken out of me so far.

I definitely am. Also I realized I’m behind on the Deckie path, so I just started that one. Ensign Mulvoy is a riot. I love her and I hope we’re besties forever.
