Our initial plan (hope) was to have a three-part game series, and while that has not changed, neither has it ever been 100% set in stone. My best estimate is that we are still right on track. Never say never, there might be potential for more, if we feel we have more worthy plot to offer and the demand is high. However, your original MC’s journey may well end with the first trilogy, especially because we are trying to write vastly different conclusion branches depending on your choices, your personality, who is in your group and the strength of those relationships, for good or bad. I don’t want to spoil much, so forgive me for answering part of your question with a question: even the immortals in this series, though extremely rare and requiring specific circumstances, can still be killed if they are vulnerable enough and we know that at least the Council loves maintaining some kind of “balance”…so, if the MC is seen as a big enough threat, no matter what power they may tap into, would they even survive long enough to see a marked difference in life span? The “darkness” might be more than meets the eye, anyway. 
Anywho, that is in addition to all the other short stories we’ve been posting independently. Tony would like to do some kind of fun, one-off prequel that focuses on Mac and Vex’s rivalry before the first game, but that’s so far down the to-do list right now, I don’t want to make any promises.

Yeh thanks just one of my other questions had me thinking that if Elysian was a ro then the life span of the mc might of been altered. Now I’m heading back to lurking on here eagerly awaiting

My goodness it’s good to see that something is happening with this story arch!
I loved it. I think i haven’t laughed so hard in reference to any other CoG while still being extremely addicted to the rest of the story. Hope the next book will have more in depth romance. I know, I know… staying mysterious about it and all that. Well, I’ll just be patient and wait for the full release. Gonna keep an eye on this thread though.

Having a little fun! 
Got a new Q & A series going in tandem with the short stories on our WordPress page, from the POV of our NPCs. For anyone who thinks they may have a good question, or just want to see a little more content, please check it out!
Also, thinking of doing a closed beta on CoG forums when the time comes, as opposed to the independent, private beta we did with a smaller pool for the first. What I’d like to do, since obviously we cannot implement a saved game load for testing, is assign different volunteers a pre-programmed alternate test scenario (i.e. low approval with Vex and high with Sidney, etc.) along with the new character creator. That way, I can keep track of any bugs specific to those paths, like a Sidney being present reference showing up in a play through where they did NOT go through the portal. Of course, that will all happen once we’re closer to releasing a beta, which won’t be for at least a few more months, and along with a new thread for the new game. But good to start brainstorming ideas now! Super excited for the next steps.

is there a way to romance Sidney?
yes you can romance Sindey just joke with her & dont be to harsh there will be a scene where you should be able to kiss her & you can confirm or cancel the relationship with the talk you have later in the game

Even if you don’t get the kiss option in the morning scene, if you have consistently been building up the relationship throughout the game, you can still confess having romantic feelings later on. From there, it should be pretty obvious, lol.

If Satan is in the game does that mean there is a god. Or is the council there instead of a god ?
Good news: that whole topic and other related issues will totally be addressed throughout the series. Hopefully, we have some surprises, or at least a different way of interpreting some traditional lore, to offer.
Bad news: you’ll have to wait for more games (or at least the demos) to find out more!

So when is the second half coming out and are there any plans to give u the ability to romance the demon? I really like that smartass.

Beta testing for second game will hopefully start sometime in the fall. No set publication date yet, will update when there is. There will definitely be more ROs in the next game, but if you were hoping to hit on Vex, you may be disappointed, I’m so sorry. 
There will be a different demon you could try to hook up with, though…
