And I’m always happy to field questions and concerns about the game here on the forums or through our fan pages, so no worries there.
In my experience, sometimes CoG and HG do not update automatically. If you can get into your Settings and open the “Manage Applications” screen and force a manual update, that tends to do the trick! Hopefully you don’t have to delete it entirely, but that would be my next suggestion if the first doesn’t work. An easy way to tell is if the achievements go from having 25 to 26. If that STILL doesn’t work, please let me know so I can escalate the problem to the right person!
Anyway, thanks again and we appreciate the continued support! As someone for whom books and video games (especially story rich ones) have been an absolute lifeline during troubled times, it means SO MUCH to think I may have been able to help pay it forward for someone else. I’m really thrilled and humbled that you enjoyed it so much. I really hope you like the rest of the series when it drops, too!

So I checked around and tried different methods, including redownloading, but I’m still unable to save. Bright side, got to try the romancing Sidney without that kiss scene. So that’s cool!
Also now I wanna sit down and chat video games with you. Ask your opinions on Mass Effect and so on. Speaking of which, I’m on my third or fourth playthrough of Mass Effect Andromeda and I have to get it done so I can return to romancing my crush. Oh PeeBee… and Suvi. And this ran a bit long…
Hahaha, there’s been a few ME and BioWare discussions on here on the forums that I have participated in, so I definitely have thoughts on those. Full disclosure, tho, I haven’t played Andromeda yet! Never preordered it and was kinda disappointed by what I’d seen and heard of it. Might wait on the next big patch and see.
Oh, and just so I can be sure I’m investigating the correct problem, is the game not updating at all? OR did it update (should be 26 total achievements and version 1.1.0) and you just aren’t prompted to save your game at the end? Because those are two different issues. Thanks!
P.S. When you say Android, did you get it thru Google Play or Amazon or…?
It is updating, I’ve made sure to check that more than once. It just has no prompt to save. I’m using the version off Google Play
Once reaching the end it asks for a rating > gives links to subscribe/see Facebook > then it appears to hit a dead end that just says “thank you” with no other buttons at all and the user has to go into the menu in order to reset the game manually.
I just popped back in to ensure I had the repro steps correct and take screenshots only to see that the thank you screen now seems to have the save feature! So colour me confused. I’m going to leave my wordy bug report up there just in case.
Andromeda is fun (Full disclosure, I worked really hard to avoid any and all info on it so I could experience it like I did the original, in that I went in expecting a meh sort of game and came out with one of my favourite games of all time.). The thing with it is that you need to separate it from the trilogy. It’s the same universe but not really the same kinda game (has a very DAI feel at times.) New game plus is where the most irritating bugs reside in my experience thus far. I honestly can’t really hold it up with the trilogy though, it feels like it’s own separate entity and comparing it to the original feels not quite right in most regards. Also it’s BioWare Montreal that’s behind it so bugs are… a fact of life lol. They aren’t very good with doing their QA from what I’ve seen of past works. But now with a big title to work on in a consistent manner, those standards might change. Back when I was working (or just before I got hired at EA), I had a discussion with some of the devs when they came in for business and they really did seem interested in fan feedback and making what they thought gamers wanted. But the loudest fans are the obnoxious ones so they don’t really… get to hear the proper feedback, just stuff like “moar butts and smexy tiems”
I type so much here. Why can’t I do that when I want to write something creative? Lol. Sorry for all the words. I don’t talk to people anymore so whether it’s the written word or spoken, I kinda just say everything I can think of to try and maximise the socializing thing.

Hahaha, it’s all good! Yeah, honestly, I think I like DA franchise a little more than ME, but I love them both. I’ve been a longtime fan of BW in general, since NWN. No question that they’ve been through a lot of changes over the years, which have also had an impact on the games they make and how. I agree with your assessment about the consistency, fans, and feedback. I know I will get around to playing it when I have the time at some point.
Anyway, since I have to leave for work soon, I’m gonna keep this short and sweet for now, but I’ve passed along your info (which was very specific and helpful, thank you), so hopefully we can get that figured out!

Quick update. I ran through the game several times before going to sleep and it is still experiencing the same issue. I have since figured out that once hitting the blank “thank you” screen, if I exit and close the app entirely before opening it up again, the screen will load properly and I am able to save.
So…
Rating > links > blank thank you > close app > run new instance of app > final page reloads properly
I’m unsure if this is fixable on your end and I am glad to have figured this out. It is definitely reproducible, as I said I ran through and saved 3 out of a total of 5 playthroughs while using different options.
Hope that’s helpful. If you want any screens, I’ll be happy to Google how to do it on this phone and provide them lol.

In the new HG I’m writing, The Magician’s Task, I’m going to attempt to have lots of humour and sarcasm in it. So, naturally, I’m going to read SYP again for some schooling in those areas.

Wow, I hadn’t realized this was 50k words. I had assumed it was ~ 100k. How much is HHWT, out of curiosity?
Yup. Still editing the last chapters of HHWT (and looking at a significant possible rewrite of one large section), but it is already more than twice as long as the first game. By my best guess, we may well end up ~150K total, with a player hitting approximately 85K+ per playthrough.

Haha, don’t worry, it’s not dumb. You might be surprised how often we’ve been asked this. 
I’m glad he’s so popular. Sadly, he’s pretty canonically asexual and aromantic. It is possible, however, to earn his begrudging respect (and perhaps, dare I say, friendship), which given his personality is quite an accomplishment in itself.
There will be other RO besides just Sidney in the sequel, though. Hope that still gives you something to look forward to!

You know when this game came out, at first I didn’t think it would be that interesting. I even made it a point to avoid it. But I must say I can’t wait for the second part.
