There is a hidden variable called alexrel, basically do everything she says without questioning. You can search for it in the code.
For that scene to play, you must fight Solitary, convince him to have a staged match and have alexrel higher than 5. If you are a hetero guy she will kiss you, if you are single you can try to confess if you aren’t you wonder if she will blackmail you using the footage of the kiss.

How do you choose to bring up the real life issues, is their a certain choice you have to make?

There’s only one thing I love more than being a heel, it’s dogs. Hey, can’t a bad guy have a heart.

But bad guys have more fun. You can break the rules, taunt the crowd, and use a Video thing on the tag champs right before the match.

Always late to the party I see. Wish I’d discovered this game much earlier. I was honestly surprised by how well written this game was written, you can tell a lot of care went into every possible outcome.

A few points I wish I could’ve brought up during development. Nothing that actually detracts from the game at all:

  • If the PC is using ‘Boy Rising’ as their intro song, Evelyn should acknowledge that it’s her song in the ‘Truth: “I’m a big fan of yours as well."’ choice. It would’ve been nice to see her acknowledge it, since she comments that he “must get picked on in the locker room for liking bubblegum pop”, so how much more for using it as their intro song.

  • I’d love a back button so that if I miss something I can just step back a few pages and double check what I’d read.

  • When I replayed the second time to revisit some of the fights I hadn’t done so well in but keep Evelyn as my manager/girlfriend, I had somehow gotten Madeline to fall in love as well without realizing it, so when Madeline grabbed the mic as the PC starts to respond to Evelyn I dropped the phone and said “What?!”. It was an amazing sucker punch, but I don’t feel like Madeline makes as much of an argument against Evelyn as she would know she should. I know her overall style is far different than ‘pop star’s’, but she acknowledges that she’s in a handicap match. I’d have loved her to take a little longer to explain her feelings since she’d said they were all “shooting” now, and she’s got an uphill battle to fight. She’s trying to breakup a months long, committed relationship, where Evelyn went out of her way for her good friend/love. That’s a very difficult choice, and it’s almost like she knows she’s going to lose and is just making the motions. I just don’t feel she would really do that. If she’s going all-in, she’s going all-in.
I’d also have liked to have a few more dates/outings with Madeline to further build that angle up. She calls the PC “so dense” (I think it would’ve been better if she’d said ‘so oblivious’ since it’s not that they’re stupid) for not seeing she was falling for them, so there should be more growth shown. More of her acting slowly more different over the month she’s got with the PC. Especially since Evelyn has such a massive history/relationship/connection with the PC, even going to pull the PC out of hiding because she cares/loves them so much.
I just would’ve liked to see Madeline actually put up more of a fight if she didn’t want to leave any regrets since she strikes me as an “all-in” kind of fighter, and she’d at least put everything on the table. I really felt horrible about breaking someone’s heart, but there was too much connection between Evelyn and the PC, plus she just came back from seeing her father who died, was/is worried the about another boyfriend betraying her, etc.

  • Maybe it might have been good to have Evelyn not be so passive while Madeline is making her confession in front of international TV. When Madeline starts talking (even though the PC doesn’t get it right away… I know that feeling) Evelyn clearly can see what’s happening within seconds as she’s first surprised but then scowls. I mean, she’s got an aluminum baseball bat in her hand (not that I think she’s the type to use it, but she might threaten with it. IDK). Maybe if the relationship scores were high enough with both, neither would back down from the other. Madeline’s a brawler and Evelyn does have training (but she’s also got her passion), so it feels like they’d almost go toe-to-toe right there. Not sure how I’d have it play out, but I really wish Evelyn just didn’t stand there and let Madeline have the floor.
If you choose to go with Madeline over Evelyn (I couldn’t bring myself to ever do that, but I read the game script and holy crap am I glad I didn’t actually play that. I could hear her screaming “It was supposed to be fake!” over and over in my head) she’s devastated, and it’s horrendous to read. But she’d clearly be willing to fight up until the choice is made.

  • This game begs for save slots. Like with other games, sometimes the choices don’t really convey the tone that the answer is going to be given. Such as with the above love triangle plot, the third option from selecting Evelyn or Madeline, is “Oh no. You’re not doing this to me…”. I took this to be like “are we actually doing this now?” and try to resolve this off-camera, but when the PC actually goes off on a tirade at the two of them, I didn’t like that. That wasn’t in ‘character’ with the PC I’d been playing, so it made me really wish I could Save Scrum (though the ending with the two of them in the photo saying ‘Noon. Today. Choose.’ was very appropriate. I just hated not seeing either of them in the audience at the final fight).

Other than that, the fact that I became so heavily invested in the characters speaks volumes to this game. I look forward to others like it.

Is that ending with JJ we’re dating in Japan?

Can you guys clue me in on how to romance Rio, I always end up with Evelyn.

This was pretty good. Though I’m not a wrestling fan and not well-versed with the wrestling terms, since there was a few times where I have to pause and search up terms since I’m not sure if it follows my stats.I played it three times, and I’m still not even sure if Technique follows a playstyle with strikes and Strength is for playstyles with holds-since I followed the logic that jumping around ropes requires technique, and doing and breaking holds requires strength.
And there would be options in some scenes like:

  • Counter into a DDT.
  • Attack with elbows on his head.
  • Attempt to counter into a roll-up pin.

And I get totally stumped on what to pick.

This was actually my first favourite choice of games that was not a sci fi or fantasy but I am still kind of confused how the MC friend greese I think just betrayed him like that and even decided not to show his or her face again it kind of feels sad and the same is for how we are able to win because it just felt weird that we have to take advantage of both our rival and the champions condition but is still a good game just wished there was another way

The best thing about this game is not simply that it’s a love letter to wrestling (tought it is) but rather the fact that it doesn’t shy away from what makes wrestling unique as a sport and entertainment, both the good and the bad.
If you look at the content that WWE endorses, whether it be a video game or a comic book, they play it 100% straight. In the world of WWE licenced merchandise, kayfabe is not merely sacrosanct, it’s as if it doesn’t exist at all and everything that happens in the ring in 100% real.

Slammed! doesn’t bother with that and the story is all the better for it. It recognizes that, yes, wrestling is fake but that doesn’t need to diminish its appeal or the sacrifices that the athletes make. It portrays not an idealized version of wrestling but rather a realistic one that deals with backstage politics, big stars with big egos, etc.

And, in the end, the golden ending is achieved not by beating the champion fair and square in a real match, but by putting a spectacle for the audience. You’re not the best because you’re a tough guy who can beat anyone, you work with your opponent to put on a show which is exactly what wrestling is about. Larger than life, live storytelling.

And, like I said in the beginning, the game is a love letter to wrestling, filled to the brim with recognizable characters, companies and events.

I know of 3 Ro’s in Slammed, but I was wondering if there were anymore? Especially Alex Dobbs and the SBN promoter. I have played this game many times. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

Also I believe that this is one of the best games ever. The only way it could be better (in my opinion) is if the author did side stories where we could go back to one of the other venues and bring it close to the top. I kinda liked the sbn. Thank you for the input I am going to try again.

It’s my boyhood dream. So, will you do it? When the lights go out, and I make the 14 hour drive home and crawl into bed complete but broken, will you be there waiting?”

Honestly I think it would be cool to have another wrestling game like this, but its more realistic and focus alot more on backstage politics, like we could have a Wcw, Wwe, and Ecw company, and maybe some smaller companies which you can just use to basically get more fans, skill, and realtions, seriously you could have the Wcw company which the only way to make it to the top is to be an older guy who has high relations withe the boss snd the main event guys, in the Wwe company you could be a younger guy whoa good at promos and stuff and you can be the top guy by simply impressing the boss.
