Taking a break from the new game to do a quick inquiry. Slammed! is going up on Steam at some point inn the future (hooray!) and so I was asked to plug in some achievements. That’s done, but I have a few days left before the deadline, so I’ve gotten a go-signal to do tweaks here and there, so if you’ve got those two or three or ten minor things about the game that’ve irked you, let me know in this thread and I’ll see what I can do.
Note that this is for small-scale changes – dialogue that seemed off, a choice that you think should have been offered at least (even if it gets shot down), a bit of ambiance missing from the ending… One example was when FG flagged the original Ecstasy epilogue and I realized that not all permutations of that relationship could end with an engagement ring.
This isn’t really for bugs, though if you’ve found one in the latest version, you can let me know here too.
No promises that I’ll be able to get to anything – I’ve got my own personal wishlist, and only have a few days and dayjob stuff to juggle around – but I’d like to take this opportunity to polish the game a bit more, and allow players to enjoy it without, or with fewer, reservations.
Release window is a long ways out. The length of my games always seems to spiral out of control… This was meant to be a shorter game than Slammed, but the way things are going…
The game is my stab at a certain kind of science fiction romance. If you’ve ever read/watched the Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars series, that’s the kind of thing I’m going for. It’ll have a heavy emphasis on relationships.
I think 57Faults was referring to my offhand “taking a break from the new game” comment I am actually working on something new, but it won’t be done for quite a while.
I think there should be an option to regret not dealing with Ecstasy’s drug addiction in the scene where Colton asks for any regrets. It doesn’t have to lead to anything; just a simple choice that reminds the player of the past.
Ooh, cool. Slammed was my first CoG, and I loved it. Awesome to see that it’s coming on Steam.
Off the top of my head, my biggest complaint was that you couldn’t get the JJ epilogue unless you went home. I felt people who didn’t go home should have gotten SOMETHING.
Also, I recall being unable to win the cage match as a Promo specialist. It makes sense, I suppose, but it still bugged me the couple of times I tried…
Seconding that. And I loved your wrestling game, even though I had no interest in wrestling. What pleasures I shall feel playing your game dealing with an interesting topic!
Just wanted to express my gratitude for a pro wrestling game. I’m a HUGE professional wrestling fan- watch everything from WWE to the indies to New Japan and there were so many little details and references only a wrestling fan would be able to grasp. So playing Slammed was an incredible experience.
And I’m not just talking about the moves- from the lead antagonist being named Paul Prototype to the Bleacherwatcher619 thing and many others, was a blast
I swear just seeing the name Paul Prototype made me laugh out loud. So much John Cena and Triple H there, brilliant.
And some of the angles involving the feud between the player and his rival and Ecstacy. So typical pro wrestling. Gotta love it.
Had a feeling Super Horns was based off Jushin Thunder Liger.

Hey, it’s always great to hear from a Slammed player that’s also a wrestling fan – and you’re the first person who mentioned the names and twitter handles, so I’m glad those references didn’t slip through
I’ve kind of soured on WWE aside from NXT lately, but I’ve been getting into New Japan after Wrestle Kingdom 9, so that’s been scratching my wrestling itch.
Wrestle Kingdom 9 was so amazing. I’ve been following the promotion for 2-3 years now, so seeing the hype and exposure it got was great. The double main events were amazing- Nakamura/Ibushi and Tanahashi/Okada could both be the 2 best PPV matches all year.
Yeah the WWE isn’t doing much for me right now, which is a shame since I really liked their 2013. But with Daniel Bryan back and Seth Rollins rising to the occasion, there are a few bright spots. Not too keen on Roman Reigns though.

As others said, an ending with JJ scene would be great (besides just kissing in the main ring)
It’s been a while since I played, but if you managed to convince Solitaire to do a ‘regular’ match, you then are escorted to the private room with Dobbs. If you are in a relationship, you can tell her ‘you’re already spoken for’…however, if single, I don’t think nothing more comes of it. It could be interesting if you are given the option to kiss her
I am actually working on something new, but it won’t be done for quite a while.
