@djma64 No bug - there needs to be some randomness in the play otherwise its hard to lose a match if you do the “right” thing over and over… at the moment (and I stress things will change a little in the future) You won’t miss many open three pointers with 70% skill… but you can miss some… choosing a “better” option ought to give better results depending on 1) your stats and 2) a little bit of luck…
Playing to your strengths ought to produce better results most of the time… but then it also depends on the weaknesses of the opposition… and other secret stuff!

Heh - the any player thing is the “bug”… sort of… the way the model is coded it is hard to stop the big guys shooting from distance. That will change when I re-write it… however they are no more likely to hit the three when in front or behind - its just that they are more likely to put one up if they are losing (naturally).
Having said that though - It IS heartbreaking when they hit a three to win 10-11 or something!
@happy when I avoided the Show Stats (I have a habit with clicking the button occasionally) I will make the trials cheat proof at some point but honesty gets you a long way in my book - you can come again!
POSITION: Point Guard PLAYSTYLE: again I saw like with @fallingcups the playstyle entry isn’t up… is it missing at your final screen or is it just a copy/paste thing? (For the life of me, I can’t seem to reproduce it on my end!)
@fallingcups Ah ok - hmmm will check it out again… I *think* that the character you played as was a girl so will check that side of the character creation section… am a bit puzzled though! ho hum
I think it wasn’t an error made by copy-and-pasting. I played as a Male Point Guard. But I think the play-style might have been left out when I was playing as a Three Point Specialist on the final page.
@happy@fallingcups In response to the very popular choice of creating a “three point shooting point guards” I have fixed it so that three point specialist is listed now on the stats screen next to playstyle
Man… you test and check and retest your code a bazillion times… and silly things like that slip through! Fixed now though thanks!
UPDATE - Added one of the “colour” characters - there will be good interaction with him throughout the game… two opportunities to see him (one brief that you might miss - one that you can’t miss but the questions/answers depend on your choices - obviously - and your performance in the trials)
This should have been the point where I released the Demo - but got a bit overexcited 3 days ago - thanks for the playthroughs and bughunts so far. Only had 7 people look at my demo (so far) but have had better feedback than my last one (again so far!)
dude im sorry but you have still not fixed the random stuff i miss six times in a row with open shot right after another with 70 skills its broken since the npc are almost never affected by it anyone get sucess in their power area but but only i miss its way to frustrating you should just make stats based it until you find a way so it not only screwing the mc over.

I will get around to playing the demo again in a little bit. I looked at the code for the games and it looks like a lot of work. Anyone who doesn’t give this game a shot is missing out. I played a couple more times because I enjoy the actual games so much.
Glad people liked the reporter - had fun writing dialogue him (and even had an idea for a routine to show scrolling text on the tv screen but then realised that it may not look right on all formats - what looks ok on my screen wouldn’t be the same on a phone maybe?)
@djma46 I guess that is the issue with a random generator - in *theory* neither the mc nor the computer will ever score… and you’d be stuck playing for ever… at 0-0… before you through your device out of the window!
@Gameover I haven’t had the issues you are having djma. As a matter of fact, I think players make too many baskets but I am willing to let that one go for the sake of fun. I did struggle with that… as it happens it kinda doesn’t really matter what happens in the trials… kinda… but I must admit that I hadn’t anticipated so many players getting 3 wins this quickly, although I don’t know if people are winning first time or after 100 tries! - maybe I make it harder eh? (heck even I can’t get 3 wins in a row a lot of the time)

I’m not much of a basket ball player so I love how you clarify everything before progressing, the stats are dynamic, informational and well rounded, there are a lot of choices that are well spaced out, I love the tournament style competition, your choices and stats really do seem to have impact. But, but there are a few grammar/spelling errors, the diction level is only moderate, some parts can get mildly redundant. Overall I’d give it a 4, and I’d definitely pay for it. I can’t wait to see the finished work!
