Shadow of the Eagles

Sharpe’s canonical role at Salamanca’s pretty minor. He mostly just saves the South Essex and that’s about it.

Wow making this choice made me feel sick to my stomach

The biggest argument against the Decemberists is that they wanted this guy to be Tsar and Autocrat of all the Russias.

It says a fuck of a lot that even the Man himself knew he would be a bad tsar

Sort of. They didn’t want an Autocrat.

What options will Jacobin Marshals have during the Hundred Days? Can they restore the Republic or is that just too impossible?

Not during the Hundred Days, no…

Honestly I don’t see a realistic way to restore a republic like the Jacobin would have wanted because if the other country were Napoleon return to the throne they will certanly be even more hostile to a return to the republic especially if it’s become one led by Jacobin

Are you implying there’s some other point in time you can actually do this?

I may, in fact, be doing this.

Not sure if this is the right forum but considering the scale and scope of Shadow of The Eagle, with around 60 or so battles, will Wars be similar or smaller in regard to the quantity of engagements. Will we be able to do much or just ‘good’?

The historical scope of this project is really interesting, especially covering the period from 1792 through the Napoleonic Wars rather than focusing on just one campaign. I also like the idea of keeping the major events close to the historical record while still giving the player room to make different choices. With around 865k words already covering the first four acts, there must be a lot of room for different playthroughs and outcomes. I’m curious to see how the remaining acts handle the later campaigns and the road to Waterloo.

Wars of Infinity will have fewer, and more involved engagements by necessity. Shadow of the Eagles covers nearly a quarter of a century, Wars of Infinity will be covering half a decade.

That depends on your definition.

Will we be with the good choice competent enough never to lose an engagement, or, if that does happen, it be because the odds were heavily stacked against us?

Yes.

Would we be able to win a victory heavily outnumbered like Davout? 2v1 or 3v1 odds or is that too power fantasy-like for the Dragoon Saga.

You can Outshine Davout Victory with 3rd corp already

So, I lied.

I found a way to fit this in (or at least, the incident itself, you can’t lose an eye in it).

Booooo let us sacrifice our eye for the emperor

“Scoundrels! You get five sous a day, and I am worth 600,000 francs a year! Yet you make me go ahead of you!” - Masséna at Wagram

This should be a dialogue option in the future Wagram DLC if we fall off a horse like Masséna did and lead from a horse-drawn carriage. It makes me laugh every time I read it
