There’s a staff MC, which is anyone from sous-lieutenant to Capitaine, and they serve as one of Napoleon’s Officier d’Ordonnance, meaning his direct staff.
Then there’s field officers, which is anything from Chef d’Escadron/Bataillon to Colonel.
After that, there’s the General path, for generals of brigade or division.
Towards the end of the game when Napoleon’s empire is crashing, we should be able to see an MC with a sufficiently low enough Bonapartist score to start blowing off their bottled rage. Especially if they were a very decorated officer, that would be hilarious. Imagine this:
Napoleon: Once again, La Marechal, you have saved the army from annihilation. Truly, you are a credit to your sex.
The hardcore Jacobin, anti-slavery, anti-looting, pro-woman’s rights, female marshal:
There is, but depending on your origin, it may be… somewhat difficult.
That being said, I did make a conscious decision to make sure that getting arrested never lands you in front of the guillotine, if only because it’s probably not fun to die in the Terror if you’re here to play a game about the Napoleonic Wars.
It’d be like playing a game about WW2 and dying on the Hindenburg.
Is there a Chance in the future to be invited to go Hunting with Napelaon and Berthier and lose your Eye in that infamous Hunting trip that Masséna lost his Eye in ?
Hey Cata. I was wondering if, in the General de Division path, we can be assigned a cavalry post like a division in the Cavalry Reserve or in change of the cavalry brigade of a Corps, as I always get re-assigned to an infantry command at the Camp of Boulogne. I really want an excuse to go ham during the capitulations of fortresses after Jena, a la Lasalle.
Hope there’s a flag for this so we can get opportunities to frag Napoleon in the future motivated by one thing or other, like Dumas’ death, slavery, feminism, etc. What the hell is -30 bonapartist dialogue going to look like? Is that going to even be possible?
I’m really wondering just how competent your mc would have to be to get away with hating Napoleon so much and still retain employment in the army. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think any of the other marshals had such a visceral hatred for Napoleon, and we all know what happened to the likes of Dumas and Morreau. If the MC started openly slandering Napoleon, I don’t think even the Marshal’s baton could save them unless they were Davout, Berthier and Lannes fused together. Which is probably going to be possible in this game lol
Of course your MC should for the most part have the option to remain quiet even if they hate Napoleon, but when you hate a person enough your hostilities can become apparent even if you make a conscious effort to hide it.
