The Jena-Auerstedt update is very fun.
After watching him steal my credit, I totally understood why Davout wanted to duel him lmfao (though for a different reason than mine).
So if bernadotte reinforces you then he steal your thunder?
Ahem, as the Senior Marshal, Jean-Baptiste Jules Bernadotte rightfully receives the glory for the battle you fought whilst under his command, following his orders.
(Yes).
I’m really excited for this game and hope this game will sell well so we can have dlc. Playing stay in Germany or Italy and not going to Egypt deepening relationship with ney, soult, Gudin, Suchet and other will be amazing, other dlc that Cata already said will be made if this game sell well war in second coalition second conquest of Italy also sound amazing when Cata said it. Man I’m excited. So two more battle right before the end of the fourth coalition war end, time sure fly fast and I’m glad the development working smoothly, stay healthy and take rest from time to time Cata.
Time to win without reinforcements then
That’s the joke, fyi.
I don’t have the demo so all of this make me curious
Can we kick Marshal Bernadotte in the balls for stealing our thunder, oh mighty and everpowerful Cataphrak? ![]()
Let’s just say, I’m considering putting certain MCs in Ney’s place in a certain battle in the 1813 campaign…
Ah sweet, I’m about to decorate my house with some Swedish soldiers’ heads on a pike ![]()
can we get ancestral grudge: Bernadotte?
I was doing some code diving in Twine and discovered that you can apparently get the total success event whilst also having secured Bernadotte’s help. How is this possible? As far as I thought, disregarding him gets you an early head start in the day. When you get his help I’m pretty sure you only have time to perform the 2 initial actions with Gudin and Friant at the start of the battle and 2 more holding actions. I tried to do this with a fully maxed corps, trusting subordinates and the upgraded components of the corps instead of relying on the skill check options (because the former can weaken the Prussians more), but the closest I got was for the text “Now is the time to strike!” to pop up before Bernadotte sweeps in. If you counterattack before this you get roughly the same outcome with him sweeping in to take credit. I’m sure the answer is in the code somewhere but I’m kinda lost. I’d post the screenshot but apparently I don’t have the member permissions to so here’s what it says:
<<if $act4_auerstedt_bernadotte is “accept”>>Marshal Bernadotte arrives at the head of I Corps an hour into the pursuit, too late to do anything but burnish the lustre of the triumph you have already scored. He takes a few thousand prisoners, a handful of regimental flags, and a dozen guns. It is all he can manage before the rest of the broken Prussian army disappears into the night - or into the hands of III Corps’ pursuing battalions and squadrons.
It’s mostly a backstop at the moment, in case I make some changes which make it possible.
Will we have the option to challenge Bernadotte to a duel like davout tried irl.
I think Napoleon would have shut it down just like he did irl.
Time to somehow get the Denmark-Norway throne to continue the feud
There’s something that I’m curious about. So how old is the mc at the start of the game or does it varies depending on the backgrounds
