There are few WIPs I am genuinely invested in and eagerly awaiting their next update. This is one of those few. I love how the more I learn about the MC’s past life, and the more the MC interacts with their spouse, the more I change my hypothesis about their relationship, and I am truly invested in finding out the truth in the current situation the MC is in. Keep up the great work and I await the next update with bated breath.

I’ve been thinking about how the attunement stat works. In chapter two, all that talk about the gap between what we are and how others perceive us, made me think that maybe the attunement stat measures how much MC’s current personality matches how Anthony looks on them.
The spouse is under impression that we still the same personality-wise and even appear happy when we choose options that increase our attunement. The opposite also happens: when options that decrease attunement are chosen, he doesn’t take well.
Maybe in the next chapters, Anthony will interpret a low attunement as if the person he knew and married no longer existed. And we know that he hates losing something he loves (poor birdie 
). I think that if MC keeps their attunement high enough, they will be safe.
Also, now that we know what MC used to be, the next chapter title is a lot more interesting, in a gross way.

im interested in low attunement vs high attunement run too. will there be penalty for low attunement (like in SoH)? do you even want to have high attunement? how will it change the story? i really want to see how it turns out

I could add an option for it to be a single surname, but we’ll have to see after I finish the story, as it might come into conversation later. For now, it’s unlikely that it’ll change.

I gotta say, one of the things I’m surprised hasn’t been talked about is how young the spouse was in the farmers market memory, or the year they claim they’ve met.

yeah i did the math before that mc & A meet when mc was 16 & A 11 (so young???) and started relationship? at age 23 and 18 
why so specific? at the farmers market mc is 20 so it makes A 15, and i just accepted it since they should’ve met before

I just played this WIP and wow, just wow.
The story is so captivating and intriguing, and I have to admit, I just love the way you write.
I also love that the main character is not just a blank sheet of paper (like in most cog games) but at the same time they really are at the end, without their memories, and we can shape what they think while kinda knowing how they thought (with the little we know about them, if it makes any sense).
It’s sooo well written and when I thought “this really can’t get any better” you dropped Sartre (!!) and Vivaldi and now I’m enamoured by this game.
I really can’t wait, this game looks oh so very promising! Gosh, I have so many theories regarding these two (I mean, “I’m an Estelle to your Ines”? Mmmmmh) 
Also, is the mind palace sherlock inspired?

ok after reading your reply i reread the whole thread and i think it maybe debunked the theory that A & mc met as professionals/ as adults/ that A is a prisoner where mc work.
I too think that 14-15 y.o is young but…nothings wrong with teenagers visiting farmers market…right?
if what A said was true that they meet when mc was 16 & A 11, im…afraid of what influence mc has over A. they’re practically a kid. also:

also now im thinking bout: health bar would be implemented, that this is a dark story, quantico, motorcycle, how mc’s right hand is weaker than the left, cadaver and organs at the m i n d p a l a c e, and

I’m way too stupid for this all. Half of the time I have no idea what A and MC are talking about, and when I read the comments nothing makes sense for me. It just brings up more questions. The dots are not connected.
Yeah…I’ll just play the game as an ignorant idiot and find out that way. I’ll see how far I’ll come.

And not exactly, the mind palace concept, or method of loci, has been around for quite a while. Since ancient times, in fact. If anything, it’s inspired by my own mind palace.
I’m not sure yet. I might need to give you more time to recover 'cause 2 month coma patients need at Least four weeks to be able to walk alone and… well… you might need to run at some point.

I feel you. Philosophy, biology*, and classical literature are not my thing. I got some context from googling the chapter titles, but I’m just going with the flow right now.
But that doesn’t make us stupid! We just know different things.
*My experience with biology is limited to a poorly taught high school class and being mad at plants growing on rocks I want to look at.
