I am seriously blown away. Got actual chills while reading. The spouse, though sweet, is so so suspicious. Something is just OFF. I read through the whole thread and when you said, the MC might have to run at some point eheheh we’re in danger. You have such a way with writing atmosphere and tension! Everything is perfectly eerie but still organic. One of my favorite WIPs of all time now 
And I’m going to resist looking at the code even though the mystery is driving me crazy lol, so my guess is that cannibalism or something related to meat is involved. The Hannibal references, the conversation about livestock and farming, even little things like a nip on the lips or a bite on the back of the neck. I don’t trust anything or anyone lmao and I love that. Amazing work!

OH MY GOD. I totally wasn’t expecting to find this masterpiece when I was browsing through the CoG forum. I totally enjoyed the demo and wow, I’m speechless. This is such a promising game and so far, I’ve enjoyed the three chapters a lot. Although Abigail seems off and kinda creepy (just like some comments I’ve seen lol) I really couldn’t help but fall for her. I love the dynamic in her and mc’s relationship and I have a feeling that although the mc doesn’t remember, they both are hiding something. I don’t know what’s gonna happen but I love the depth of the story and our mc as well. I love how we get to dig into our memories to know what’s going on, I love your writing style and how well you describe and manage every scenario. I don’t think I’ve ever read a game like this. Hands down, I can’t wait to see what you’ve got for us next.

There isn’t a whole lot of WIPs that I’m hyped for, but this creepy little beauty right here, I flippin’ loved! Personally I think ol’ Abigail’s a sweetheart, probably a bit insane with more skeletons in her closet than a morgue’s got corpses, but a real sweetheart all the same.

This is just… wow. Your way of writing suspense is fantastic… I felt sick to my stomach throughout the whole thing. Got some major Stephen King vibes.
And the way you utilized the typical IF format for this is brilliant! Going to the stats screen and seeing “How do you feel, darling?” was really unsettling…
I really hope you continue this. I loved the demo so much!

I too am an absolute wuss and I’ll admit to doing the literary equivalent of peeking through my fingers at times (it’s midnight right now ok I have an excuse) but that doesn’t detract from how gorgeous and subtly impactful your prose is! I’m too brain dead to analyze it properly, but you have a fine, gentle hand at building suspense and sparking suspicion in the reader, like the delicate touch of a brush. I played a gay couple because that’s what I was in the mood for, and idk I’m most likely a fool but I like Anthony? I want to trust him. Even though he’s obviously sketchy as hell. Maybe he’s sketchy but with good reasons (at least good in his eyes). Of course I already have some guesses as to his issue/s, there’ve been some hints here and there, but I look forward to being surprised! Thanks for your hard work

No worries!! I feel you with the anxieties about making art… it’s also hard to share work to the world but honestly you’re bringing something really interesting here, and any progress is still progress! Baby steps are still progress

I just re-read the demo and the whole thread and no lying, it was 2 am when I started and as I progressed I got more and more chills and got a nagging feeling that i was okay but something was off/wrong because I was SO IMMERSED on the story, I truly felt like I was IN the story. I couldn’t handle the feeling tho and I had to turn on my light to finish reading shdhdh (this is what I call amazing writing, to get these feelings so SO deep while reading, you really have a way with words to write suspense, I remembered why I loved this demo)
There’s still so many things that I yet have to explore after reading the thread again, and I’m gonna do just that. Can’t wait to find more details and things!
