i saw enemies to lovers and i got so excited i had to try… and upon reading it, the excitement has only doubled! i absolutely adore your characters already! they’re all very different from each other and intriguing in their own ways. i can’t wait to get to know them more!

i think you’ve also ended the chapter very perfectly. it’s short, fast-paced, and definitely leaves more to be desired! plus the revelation at the end is just… perfect! there’s already a whole lore in here that i can’t just wait to learn more about. good luck!

UPDATE (V1.1)

Hey everyone! This is just a very tiny primer update in preparations of next week’s release of chapter two! I made adjustments to the first chapter which includes:

  • RO Gender Customization
    • Instead of having to choose all male/female or half male/female, you’ll be able to choose each RO’s gender individually as they’re introduced! Fun!
  • Beverage Choice: Iced Tea
    • If you know you know :wink:
  • Love/Hate Hewitt: Added a choice where…actually y’all can see for yourself. Very tame, but internalized struggles are so cool.
  • Receptionist: Added option to where MC just doesn’t care for Santiago’s love life if that’s what y’all are after.
  • Better Dialogue Format: My previous format was icky so now, you’ll be able to actually read! Nice!
  • Confetti: There’s no confetti, but wouldn’t that be cool?
  • Note: Save files were supposed to debut with this update but I’m a newbie when it comes to coding so the process of adding them in is very confusing to me. Save files will be added to next week’s update.

UPDATE (V2.0)

The moment I, and hopefully y’all, have been waiting for. Chapter Two is live! Here’s a list of features:

  • Chapter Two
    • 24k words for a grand total of 32k.
  • Save File
    • Four save slots available! If y’all need more, let me know! This was probably the hardest thing about this chapter if I’m honest. Thanks to everyone who helped me figure it out, it was greatly appreciated.
  • Fancy Silverware
    • I didn’t know what oyster forks were until this chapter and I have no reason to know they exist.
  • Ballroom Dancing:
    • Orchestra! Snooty rich people! H’ors d’oeuvres! Tension!
  • Homemade Cookies:
    • Nothing like Mom’s fresh baked cookies.
  • Fish Sitting:
    • Will you have a fish friend or foe?

I just started reading the WIP but I want to ask; the setting of the story is in some sort of fantasy world, not in our world right? But why the explanation about ROs mentioned countries of origin of some of the ROs from our world?

as far as I understand it, I think it’s not set in a completely new fantasy world – if anything, it’s basically set in our world, but the magic version haha :sparkles:

so countries and stuff are still very much relevant! the only thing that differs is that magic (and myth?) seems to be a tangible concept.

Potential Spoiler Warning

It’s essentially our world, but with some flair to it. The fantasy aspect comes from Veillan which is only reachable through the portal/gates. Veillan is essentially an extension of the real world so nationalities and ethnicities still apply. Details and specifics will be addressed in future chapters! :slight_smile:

Ooooh who’s this new person??? Also, so much for keeping it a secret. Amirite?

I’ve played through dancing with two of them. Haven’t tried the B route yet but it’s next on my list. It’s interesting to see the contrasts in their personalities/the dynamics they have.

I’m wondering who MC is gonna be most pissed off at. Part of me thinks maybe C since they’re supposed to be friends.

I’m also curious why they all remember but MC doesnt

One potential suggestion:

At the start of ch 2, when we can see what’s bothering C, what B is thinking about, etc., I think it would read smoother if you switched to that person’s POV OR switched completely to 3rd person instead of keeping it as the MC POV. It read kind of strange in MC POV because MC knows nothing (Jon Snow Jr… ).

When I try to pick the option ‘“fine” I know the basics’ in Cas’s route it glitches and prevents anything else from happening. All you can do is exit the demo and start again.

I’m experiencing a similar error when trying to dance with Mercado. All other choices on this page works, it’s just the last one that’s causing the glitch.
