Probably the most fun I’ve had reading a story, very immersive and with such a fun cast! My only knowledge about the regency era came from Pride and Prejudice, so it takes a lot of googling to understand all the terms and titles, though I find it enjoyable. the variety of choices you can make is very nice, though I have only tried one path (Male MC-Debt origin) but I will be replaying to see how it different it will play out in the others. All of the romance options are interesting and fun, and I find even the antagonistic character adoring too (Except Marquess Redgrave, that man is evil!!).

I can’t lie, my favourite character in the entire thing is probably the MC though. I always appreciate games where you can play as an absolute menace to society, so I love being as scandalous as possible. I also love how much agency and impact they have on the story, even though a lot of things is outside their control. Their past is also an intrigue as well. I like that not everything about the MC is revealed right off the bat, it does make for a good mystery. I do wonder how high approval scandalous MCs will fair, since they’re not a total social pariah but it’s not like they’re the most shining example of a noble either…

Your writing style is also a blast, it’s hilarious and lighthearted, so it set up a good contrast for serious and tense scenes (Marquess Redgrave gives me the shiver, and it’s not the good kind!!!) The amount of drama is so absurd, I take affront to how Lady Blackwood deemed the MC a worse bachelor than Lord North’s HORSE! That 70% beauty stat is nothing to be sneered at! (I also adore Lady Blackwood, that woman is so petty it’s funny). The Morning Slander tidbits are also really ridiculous, I just love the writing of the story overall.

The cliffhanger at the end completely blindsided me, and of course Redgrave is at the scene of the crime!! Evil evil man… I would love to see what direction you will take the story to next, every scenes feel so unpredictable. So intrigued!

And now I shall declare myself a new eternal enemy. The ex-fiance can suck it! Along with her husband! There’s truly not a good bone in that family.

I notice how the MC’s father is a baron in the Cheated origin instead of a viscount and I thought that detail was interesting. It gives another layer to the hierarchy and power dynamic in the regency society, it would be far more unacceptable to jilt a viscount than a baron afterall. Another interesting detail I notice is that male MC is 24 years old, while female MC is 20, yet female MCs are considered to be a little too old while male MCs aren’t even expected to find a wife. I really like the little details that you put into the story to showcase the restrictions and expectations society have on different people back then.

Also here’s an error I caught in chapter 3.

The goal here should be “revenge” instead of “vengeance”.

""Do you know him?" you ask, curious despite yourself.

"Not well," he says with an easy laugh. "Poor Von Kessler... I fear he may never fully recover from my company." He tilts his head at you then turns to the way out of the maze. "I'll see you soon, I'm sure."

Interesting. i like the relationships between the ROs being mentioned from time to time, and honestly when i first read this line what i understood is that Will slept/flirted with Von Kessler in the past lol. Did he ?

Thank you for the update, loved it, wasn’t expecting to be able to kiss Ginerva (not that I’m complaining, GL ftw.)

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply to everyone, I had a busy few weeks  Writing on Chapter Four is going pretty well though, I’m hoping to have it done by the end of May.

I think this might be because I called the stat vengeange instead of revenge, as pointed out by a commentator below. (I’ve made that mistake a lot during this past year of writing!) I’ll check it out and change it when I do an edit, thanks.

This is something I’d rather you find out yourself… because it’s very much a big part of his story and you will find out in Chapter Three. But I’ll tell you in spoilers:

Summary

For the moment he does actually like you a bit more if you don’t go further with him. It’s a bit of an f-boy move but later on it doesn’t really matter. You can get different scenes with him in the next few chapters depending on how you play it though.

This is pretty much open to interpretation at this point haha. In my headcanon William flirted with Christian, (he’s a bisexual flirt, of course he’s going to take a chance at charming the super handsome earl ) and Christian promptly turned beetroot-coloured and hid away from him. But you can imagine whatever you like. There may be slight crushes for sure. I do think Christian is too shy and proper to have slept with William though, but don’t let that stop your imagination =P.

@Navient Thank you, I keep making that error every chapter. And thanks so much for your lovely comment. Also thanks @Brian @LGosa and @YungSanguis <3
