Maybe Javi is acting out because Rosario is so sweet and likeable (as in Rosario loves and cares for Javi, but happens to be both the heir to Zaledo and charming and likeable and princely enough to convince their parents to let them marry someone who is much lower than them on the social scale, which leads to Javi feeling overshadowed)?

The writing is lovely, characters interesting and itās so nice to see reference to Creme de la Creme. My CdlC MC and Rosario are finally married

I had such a blast playing the demo! 
I like Asher already, but then again I like most everyone weāve met so far (Javiās sort of a twit, but just imagine the drama if the MC were forced into a marriage of state with them! Delicious

I did say no discernible redeeming qualities. But unless he starts showing some of them real soon my mc will really hate Javi.
But even if he does have some my mc is still not the least bit attracted to Javi.
From the wedding segment it really wouldnāt help unless Rosario is going to be on watch 24-7 which would be weird and more than a little bit creepy too, to be honest.
Yeah, but even if he is already married the mc can likely become friends with Rosario without having to be friends with or marry Javi.
Heck my mc would marry Rosarioās cousin, Leandro (I think) that we could optionally see for a moment in the Rosario epilogue of Creme de la Creme. But then if I were to guess out of universe Leandro would kinda fill the same niche Beau already does, the smart hyper competent but more socially awkward/isolated type.
Yeah, Ash is cute.
Like I said itās a toss up between Ash and Beau for my mc at the end of chapter 1.

Not surprised here. Somehow, you always write cute, grumpy guys that I canāt resist. 
Honestly, I am so obsessed with this so far. Everything is absorbing and teeming with backstory. Even though I know the academy well from playing CDLC, revisiting it still feels fresh in this. Iām loving this rivalry with Javi, especially because we keep one-upping him. Itās so easy to piss him off that I canāt resist pushing his buttons. Asher is so sweet too! Iām sad that the demo cut off at Javi asking Asher to fight because I was literally about to tear into Javi verbally for that.
Side note: Iām obsessed with the sausage dog. Coffeebean is the best and no one can tell me otherwise.

Totally valid! My MC wants to marry for love, not politics, so the fact that Javi was so brazenly talking about the benefits of our potential marriage while also being a total butt lost it for me. Besides, the option to tell him that he was flattering himself was so good that I couldnāt resist it.

Javi is fully capable of acting perfect and princely to anyone whoās not the MC (see: his interactions with Dominique), which makes me think that their grudge against us is due to everyone surrounding him practically forcing the idea of a marriage to the MC down his throat.
If heās the type to either want to marry for love or marry on his own terms then thatād going to make make him super resentful of us. (Honestly I think people were grooming him for a marriage to the MC way before Rosarioās wedding happened. Rosario themselves would be very unlikely to be able to form a marriage alliance with Westerlin now we know what their royal family looks like - being too old for MC or their younger sibling, and maybe being too young/not the best match for your older sis. Meanwhile MC and Javi are both spare heirs in the same age bracket.)
Iād imagine Rosario finally marrying would amplify those feelings, since now Javi knows heās next up (and everyone else also knows, as seen by how our mom and his parents already planning stuff at the reception), hence the outburst at the wedding. A Rosario who marries the Creme MC would make those feelings even worse Iād imagine, since not only did Rosario get to marry for love but now Javi might feel under more pressure to marry well, since his brothers Union has no political weight whatsoever.

I agree with you that has to be a reason for Javi having this resentment toward the mc. But I also think he attracted to mc doesnāt want to admit that to himself

fair, but I think he might not be as bad as you think. Cause I think he said he didnāt want to marry for politics, my MC agreed and he was surprised. So maybe what @mumismatist said is true and the big issue he has is really with the fact that people have been trying to force them together for politics and maybe he assumed MC agreed with that approach.
But also, maybe not. Who knows. Lol

Maybe thereās a way to start out frosty and, over time, become friends at least. Personally, I donāt see it happening on my end because my MC loves pushing everyoneās buttons. Javiās blustering annoyance is entertaining to me.

Same! I choose the option, something along the lines of āwhat if you would like me as your spouseā, and his reply gave me the vibe that he might actually be attracted to MC a little bit. Or it might have been just my imaginationā¦ But Iām stick with my this version anyway! 
My MC will try to push Javi buttons and romance him! Because I love me some teasing, bickering, flirting, tension in one big package.
