Yeah. It’s something I definitely want to finish. It’s going to take a while because I have a lot going on in my life right now, but I will be working on it. It will eventually be finished barring some sort of event such as a major change to the way choicescript works or something lol.

Sorry about the long silence to all of you who may be watching the thread. My life has been turned upside down recently due to both good and bad factors. I have a great new job among other things, but I am also going through a lot of very trying issues in my personal life. I will finish this game, but work will be slow for a while until my life settles back into a routine. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

so far i like the concept of the game but i want to know if we later in the game we get to pick what kind of band we get to be, like are we just a generic “rock” band or can we be a punk, metal, ska and their respective sub-genre’s like black metal, ska-punk ect.?

While I had the choice to insert lyrics, I toke the time to type in all of the lyrics from Guns N’ Roses - Sweet Child o’ Mine. I love the band so much I was very happy to see Axl Rose in the game ^-^

Thank you. I will certainly be putting in work on this project sometime soon. I recently got a new job but things are beginning to stabilize and I should be able to make some progress soon.

I want to put things like that in the game. You will at least be able to choose what kind of songs you play although I am not sure how much I cna make that affect gameplay. Maybe a choice to attend different festivals or snub certain events could help there.

Yeah GnR is one of my all time favorites. There was actually an early version of this game which I never posted or shared in which your mentor was “Saul Hudson” and he taught you to play guitar. That game was totally incomplete but did give me some good ideas. Honestly, I will probably start over again using many of the ideas from this game. I think there is good stuff, but it is convoluted because I went in without a plan. Now I understand how to organize things better after getting a handle on the scope of the project. Glad you all enjoyed what I have so far.

I loved this, though I did feel a bit pressured to type up a whole song at the lyric section. Thats not a bad thing, it’s just me.

One thing to suggest, maybe a choice of what genera you primarily play. Maybe not in the beginning at high school, but afterwords when the band finds it’s “sound.” And just because your idol is Jimmy Hendrix, doesn’t mean you don’t like to play Big Band songs like Cab Calloway’s “Minnie The Moocher.”

I used to be a part time music teacher but now I work nine hour days and commute two hours every day. I would like to revisit this once I move closer to my job and free up a little additional time. Unfortunately I have not been able to make progress for some time. :frowning:

It’s all good mate keep happy and healthy that’s what matters. Good luck on the roads, I don’t think i could stand a 2 hour commute every day.
