Yeah I love putting stuff like that in, so you know there will be more. lol

I played through this. It’s really fricken good even though I myself don’t really know much about music. Good job and continue coding like a goddamn champion

Thanks man. Glad to hear it!

Great job so far! One small note; Memphis is known for its blues, R&B, and soul music. As oppose to Nashville, which is famous for its country music.

Suggestions: For guides maybe Jim Croce, Eddie Cochran, or Steve Cropper. Perhaps some small choices to give the character some unique details. Something like being able to have Orange amps, preferring to play with a slide, fingers, fingerpick’s, etc etc. Those are all minor things, excited to see what becomes of this game!

Awesome. I like those ideas. I hope I can work them in somehow. My only concern is that I will lose people if I make amps, slides, etc a big part of the game. I will just have to find a way to explain it or introduce it gradually. Thanks man.

I like the fingers or pick idea. Would add more immersion.

I think those would be good options to have as well. I will see what I can do.

In the dad/heli story, shouldn’t it just be Robert Johnson?

Eh is Cobain guitar and iron maiden only one with such weird events or its in all routes ?

Cant wait to see James.

It has to be SRV to preserve the reference / dark joke

Which event are you referring to?

Although I will admit to wanting to work in a Hellhounds on my trail / crossroads aspect. That would be amazing lol.

Sorry, I didn’t word my post very well. I was referencing the spelling of his name. Robert Johnson instead of Robert Johnsons.

As much as I love the spirit guide idea, I’d be careful about putting actual musicians in the story. Not saying you shouldn’t use them, just legal mumbo jumbo and all that jazz.

oh lol
that’s a typo for sure.
Thanks

Yeah after you graduate from high school / college all the bands you actually interact with will be fake. I think I can get away with direct quotations from songs because that is actually legal as long as you don’t pass it off as your work.

I believe Choice of the Rock Star had quotes from songs in it- so you should be alright.

That’s a good point. I am fairly sure you are allowed to quote anything you want as long as you do not represent what you quote as your own work.

You could say that they are references, nobody is going to sue you for that

Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s cool as long as it’s cited or whatever lol
