I’ve done another file update which should fix the divert and lack of save. Sorry about that! I forgot I hadn’t put back the default settings after doing some bugtesting.

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I haven’t been having the best year and it put major delays on this project. I’m fixing some edits that need to be done in prep for submission at the moment. Public testing is now closed. (If anyone still really wants to test it who doesn’t have the private link please PM.) Thank you to everyone who tested and offered support for this project! You guys are wonderful :blush:

To anyone who helped me out with testing this game either on this thread or by PM, I’m currently compiling a list to add as acknowledgements. If anyone would prefer not to be listed, or have a name other than their forum name please let me know (here or via PM if you’d prefer.)

Actually after that announcement I do have one more request! (Sorry- going through all my notes to make sure I’m not missing things on my todo list for this game). I’m going to put the link here again to make it easier (and a pick of the selection list), but for anyone who has played it, may I ask how you feel about the order?

At the moment the paths unlock as

  1. Raishall
  2. Spirit
  3. Vision of the past.

It was suggested in one of the feedbacks that perhaps 2 and 3 should be switched so you don’t repeat the scenario from the other perspective straight away but stay in the human realm to get back story then return. (I think that is probably do-able with a bit of fiddling with the stats and achievements if need be.)

I did like the whole flow of choices for:
those who call vs those who answer thing as the path select, but I guess I could also leave that and have the 3rd choice activate before the second. (I hope this won’t cause confusion though?)

Anyway, quick poll in case there’s any strong feelings about this either way :slight_smile:

  • Leave as is (Raishall-> Spirit-> Past).
  • Change to Raishall-> Past-> Spirit).
  • No particular preference either way.

If it’s doable, I still think switching spirit and past would flow better. The past story is interesting, but the ending is not as exciting as the other paths because the player’s choices have no impact.

Would it be possible to reword the past vision option so it becomes part of the ‘there are those who call and those who answer’ sentence? So it’d be like:
-There are those who call… (enchanter)
-Those who insertsomethingcleverhere… (past)
-And those who answer. (spirit)

Also, I found two sections where there's a line of space in the middle of the sentences:

Watching on, you see her move towards
(line of space here)
the neatly stacked pile of solid looking branches.

You see the opening you need
(line of space here)
and lash out with the vine that serves as your tail to entangle his feet.

Thanks so much @expectedoperator! I actually realised I hadn’t fixed all the gender pronouns in the second section you picked up so working on that this week too :slight_smile:

That’s dependant on me coming up with something clever :laughing:. It’s a good suggestion though. Let me think on it.
