Ugh, I’m so sorry to hear that. Based on the early version I played, which was well-written and left me wanting more, I’m surprised it hasn’t attracted more of an audience.
You can count on me to buy it when it comes out, anyway.

I’ll buy it too, just can’t promise to playtest.

Hey thanks for the support
. Please don’t think I’m upset about anyone not able to test it! I don’t expect anyone too if they’re too busy or the game isn’t something they’d consider fun to play. I’ve been too flat out to test for many people this year as well, so I definitely can’t talk. I knew this one wasn’t going to be popular as it doesn’t have the kinds of things that would make it interesting to most. Sorry the post was probably uncalled for, I’m just having a bad day and let it get to me. Thanks for the kind words though @AletheiaKnights and @LiliArch

Hi everyone. I’ve decided to open this game up to a public test. I know this is a busy time of the year but if anyone has the time to play through it and let me know your thoughts I’d appreciate it. Thanks

Giving this one last bump. If there’s no additional interest in the game I’ll be removing the public link soon and put it back into private testing until submission. (Always happy for ongoing to ask for the link if it becomes unavailable on the forums.)

This game is interesting, it is different and unique. I liked it very much. I think the shortness should not be that much of a problem, If it is mentionend that it consists of 3 short stories.
The third part was not really what I expected, I thought it would be more connected with the other parts. This might been caused by just playing the story once. But it was Not the conclusion I hoped for and left me with more questions than answers. For someone who only reads a Story once this might be disappointing.
I reached end 4 with the enchanter and the Spirit.
The writing was good, I only found few errors, one pronoun that was written in lower Case at the beginning of the sentence, so I assume the multireplace at this point was set wrong. And one sentence with a Missing word in the enchanter path.
Two Things felt strange in the customization part: the eye color is mentionend in every choice but the green, nothing wrong with it, but it stood Out.
And after choosing shoulder length hair in the next choice there was a too short to style option, which for my taste should have been at least greyed out, but that is just my taste.
Otherwise a pretty cool story that I liked very much.

Thanks so much for the comments @Kaelyn!
Sorry, if green’s not there than that’s a mistake. I’ll check it and get it fixed.
Yep, that makes sense, I can add an if option to that to change it to something more like “left unstyled” rather than “too short”.
Yeah the 3rd option kind of goes to a different scene entirely from the first two and was more of a bonus story. It’s a little concerning that it feels like a disappointing way to round it the game up. I’ll have to have a think on it, but I’m not quite sure how I can change it to make it more satifying other than entirely removing it? (Moving that scene forward in the list probably wouldn’t work as it kind of needs the background from at least the first story to make sense.)
Thank you again! Really appreciate the input

This is pretty good
but I think there’s a superfluous “until” here :
“For there, in that lingering darkness, the barrier between planes is stretched until paper thin.”
“For there, in that lingering darkness, the barrier between planes is stretched paper thin” scans much better.
“white eyed sideways glances”
Do you mean “wide-eyed sideways glances” ?
“It’s not like I could be mistaken who they are referring to.”
I think you mean maybe “it’s not like they could ever be mistaken.”

Hi @S_Missions thank you for the feedback! I’ll look into those

Just tried it, and trying to keep things spoiler free.
I did appreciate the option to skip the character customization.
I managed to beat the puzzle on my first attempt, although I could see how someone might miss the hints in the text. There’s still some interesting content even if the player botched the puzzle, so it’s still sort of a win either way.
Writing was good, smooth and engaging with good descriptions. I don’t think I saw any problems. Probably better than I could’ve done.
I might be in the minority here, but the idea of the story told from the other POVs didn’t appeal to me that much. Also… don’t want to be too negative about this, but it does feel quite short, even if you did all three stories and replayed them to try out the different options. I’ve definitely been spoiled by long games.
Anyway… just tried it out and decided to share my thoughts… for what it’s worth.

Hey @ChanceOfFire, thank you for trying my game and the feedback
Yep it’s a bit of an experimental one on my part to write a game from a few different POVs. I’m not sure if that’s something that’s going to appeal to readers or not.

Hi all, I’m currently getting the artwork sorted and finish making edits from the amazing people who tested for me. This will be finished shortly. I am still keen to hear from anyone who would like to read it. The link will stay up for a little longer, but if it is down, feel free to reply here or PM and if the game is still available to have edits made I will be happy to send over the link. Thanks

Because I was asked if I would share, here’s a possible version of artwork I may submit for the portrait images. (HG requests both landscape and portrait images
) I’ve kept the same sketchish appearance of the first so they kinda match rather than two totally different images.
Anyone want to take a guess at the elemental affinities and body builds I have tried to include?

Yeah, I haven’t drawn anything in so long, wasn’t even completely sure my old tablet would work ok with the computer I now have. I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy sketching stuff like this. I kind of tend to do the cheating version where I make my lineart on paper (because I’m really bad at drawing straight onto the computer) then build up the colour in a heap of layers. Not terribly efficient but it gets the job done
I was also debating what to do about the original image that’s at the top of the thread (after I spent a heap of time making them into landscape images for submission.) Although I kinda still think it suits the game’s atmosphere, after seeing the portrait one I wonder if it wouldn’t be a good idea to try and have something with more colour to be eyecatching as it is quite dark.
Not sure if I can pull it off and it might not look the best (in which case the first pic probably stays) but I had a second sketch I made of a more hound like similcra that I thought might be able work if I could clean it up and draw it with some veins of energy running though it?

Here’s the coloured version
I think I like it a bit more than the original.
