Mm, now, On The Hunt has the potential to be a “please sir, I want some more”, but there is that tapping of the vein already trickling in the market with Unnatural, and the sweet, sweet delicious treat that is the Supernatural in New York WIP. (Go take a gander, lovelies.)
There’s yet to be one The Beast Within in the mainstream IF aether. 'Tis both refreshing and needed, whilst the demo captured me most effortlessly, and I say this as a long-catered-to, vanilla-scented hetero.
Why, for the royal wardrobe alone I’d die. For that I’d put a

I don’t think it needs to be as strong of a incentive as you think it does. The game is labeled as both a comedy and lighthearted. At that point, doing things that don’t make sense could be for comedic value.
There’s also the classic fairytale spin in which the princes go save the princesses and who knows maybe in TBW world that’s a culture that they have and a practice they repsect? (Or yeah, princess goes to save the prince…very Paper bag Princess if you don’t mind me referencing a children’s book lol)
Or it could be something along the lines of “oh hey, nobody knows I’m gay. If someone else goes to save my bethrothed then we HAVE to get married so I need to go so I can break up with them”.
But of course if lighthearted comedy isn’t your thing in a game that’s cool, but I do think there’s potential with the incentive there!

I’m not sure if my theory that time of day has an effect is holding up Beast Within is gaining, but is still one behind. (I think? A little confused about what we’re counting at this point

Hmm, would the option make sense for someone to do so more out of a desire to defeat the necromancer? Possibly to do so out of fear, as well?
(I mean, my character would want to save someone 
but there would be players who’d be into that sort of personality more )

I mean, the idea is a reference to the whole “prince must rescue fair damsel” cliché, which is why I was so excited to see a twist on that. Using fairytale logic is fun…

Yeah, it does sound less original but it seems Supernatural is hugely popular. If that is because of how sexy a certain blond Texan actor is in it, just picture him in super cute prince role.

I thought that was the point? Prince saves princess and thus marries her (because of course he does 
) is such a dumb cliché that at this point having it end with a happily-ever-after would be the anitclimax…
This is unlikely to sway many voters, but I’d certainly suggest working on the story you actually have a plot for…
But everyone knows soldiers are weak against dragons and princes are strong against them…

That was what got me excited in the first place I know I’ve read stuff where the hero’s offered the princess’s hand in marriage and wondered “but what if they don’t want to marry? 
” It’s following the cliché just enough to mess with it

Didn’t mean to imply that it doesn’t have any plot. Just that it has the least.
That being said, it will probably take the longest to form anything of substance for your viewing pleasure.
Obviously the kingdom has soldiers, though alarmingly less than you’d think.
This might come as a surprise to you, but I didn’t create the “prince goes save a princess” trope. It’s been around for awhile and It’s tired and overused. I’m recycling. Good for the planet, good for the gays.
You’re the heir. But you’re capable (at least In your eyes). And as your father led the greatest and most bloody battle of history on the back of his own horse, (supposedly, you’ve seen him on a horse, he is a terrible rider) you’re expected by the public to do something just as heroic(?). And like I said before, morale is extremely low. Something fantastic needs to happen to raise hope. (But they all basically expect you to die. “You’re still alive?” is a long running joke.)
And it’s easy to tell the differences between a reanimated corpse and a living being. For one, the smell.
So. Choices ATM will include: #go because it’s right, #go because you’re friends, #go because you’re bored, #go because your dad tells you to, #go because you like wearing expensive clothes and this will keep your family rich, #go because omg a fucking necromancer how AWESOME
