Outside Sources

Quick question, but how much liberty do we have to include say…famous quotes or lines from a movie or etc? Is this allowed (if just a bit) or does everything have to be original?

I believe as long as it is factual and the source is noted, it is fair game.

Well @BraveMustang as Lordirish stated if the source is noted then your safe.

If you use an author’s specific words or word, you must place those words within quotation marks and you must credit the source.

You do not need to cite a source for materials that is considered common knowledge. (Such as date of birth and death, dates of well know figures, and generally accepted dates of military, political, literary, and other historical events.)

Also my last note is well depending on the way you credit your source depends on the documentation system you’re using.
